Rivendare Warrider doesn't trigger undead conditions

I’m building a sort of control undead rogue deck which relies on interactions with conditional cards such as Nerubian Vizier or Noxious Infiltrator. There are instances where killing Rivendare, (ie. with shattershambler) , or any of the other horsemen (ie. by trading with the rush variant) doesn’t proc the conditions of the aforementioned cards.

Do you have a replay of such a case?

You correctly have each one of the 4 riders die during your games ?
Triggering their deathrattles does not replace them dying, you really need the 4 of them to have died for the final effect to unfold
If you summmon one, trigger its deathrattle, then the minion is transformed, removed, bounced back… It won’t work, and having the same one die multiple times does not work either

So you played Shattershambler, then Rivendare, then Nerubian Vizier, in that order, all on the same turn, and the discovered spell was not reduced by 2 mana?

Unfortunately not, I cant remember which games this happened in but it has happened several times. Will take note of instances where it happens again

bumping this bump bump

Shattershambler into rivendare yes, followed by nerubian vizier sometimes doesnt work on the same turn or the following turn either. I’ve noticed the undead condition isnt recognised not only on Rivendare. I JUST played a game where the condition was not highlighted (yellow) on Noxious Infiltrator the turn after I played and killed my own wild pyromancer.

^ Link to the recording, Wild Pyromancer dies turn 7. On turn 8 I cant play Noxious Infiltrator as his battlecry condition is not activated

Why would you expect it to work on the following turn?

The condition is “if X happened after your last turn”. Another way to say that is “if X has already happened this turn, or if X happened on your opponent’s most recent turn.”

If it happened ON your last turn, then it clearly did not happen AFTER your last turn.

Perhaps this is just a mistaken expectation?

Yes, because on your turn 8, the condition “a friendly undead died after your last turn” is not true.

The minion died on your turn 7, so it died ON your last turn, not AFTER your last turn.

You’re right, I realised this after typing my last message.
Well there goes my hopes of making undead rogue work… damn these cards need a buff
