RIP Jailer. You Died for the Sin of Druid

Card is actually pure trash now. 10 mana immune minion would already be borderline unplayable, let alone burning the rest of your deck. I feel like this card will actively drop your winrate just by including it in your deck and even moreso for played WR.

Card needs another redesign. Just give it a different ability entirely. This is useless.

seems okay if played with his friend Pirate King Tony… otherwise yeah kind of hard to win with unless you have Jade Idols or something. Either way steamcleaner will blow up your rebuilt deck I guess so there’s a counter but a 10/10 immune is pretty strong I’d think. then again I am trash

Card had its time, let’s move forward.

The redesign proposition while may be sound … when Blizzard “kills” a card it’s gone for good.

Seems to me that the card still has value in long games that go 20 turns or more. It never hurts to be able to put a powerful minion down late that the opponent can’t respond to.

But obviously in any meta where games go less than 10 turns, Jailer is utterly useless.

My Messiah is Leeroy Jenkins. He didn’t die for your sins, but at least he has chicken.

It wasn’t just Druid abusing it. It made for an annoying combo with Mal’ganis and Bolf and any deck still running Archivist/Kazakusan.

The card was not well designed, period.

I think 10 mana immune would be proper power creep with how hs is going.

It’s insane to me that you think that’d be underpowered.

I’m aware… I just thought the title would be funny. The old design of the card was pretty atrocious. The current design is unusable. 10 mana pass turn is laughably bad, especially when it still dies to non-targeting minion destruction. Plus it still burns your entire deck.

I’m cool with redesigning cards and nerfing cards, but I am not cool with neutering cards. I’ve been against it in other card games as well.

The minute you design a card that says “destroy your deck” and the community turns it into a top level competitive card. You know you made a BIG mistake. Card should have NEVER been created to begin with. Could have done the jailer in so many more interesting ways.

They nuked this card. Why are they allowed to make nerfs this absurd? Entire deck strategies are killed by this level of nerf.

Because Jailer had his time… it is over… created for 40 HP / 40 Card decks and became useless after nerfed back to 35 max HP and card rotation happened. It was usable for only Druid after that because of it’s stupid mana cheat design + Tony… It was about time to kill it… I had my fun with it as well by my Jailer Paladin deck… I loved to use it until it was working… but after nerfed back Renethal to 35 HP… I started to die in fatigue damage so the tactic were killed…

Had his time? That’s the dumbest argument. It was a perfectly reasonable card that require very specific, expensive, combos to execute.

I think Hearthstone has had it’s time. This game does nothing but disappoint lately.

Atleast warsong commander has a friend now

Together with tony they are complete trash now.

Yeah I don’t know why people keep saying this. I don’t want to be insulting but the “cards should only be alive for some arbitrary amount of time that I decide” is an interesting take, to be nice about it

I think it’s sort of like saying the card was unique but toxic, so just let it go. It was okay to be in the game for some time.

The opponent can respond to it. There are many cards that can destroy an immune minion they just cant be targeted or take damage. Cards that destroy a random minion work and cards that remove minions from the game work. Then you are stuck with nothing!

Then why not just keep the card banned? It’s not a good decision to just effectively delete cards. That should happen natural as the game gets power crept, not because of super nerfs.

A different design choice is objectively just better. “It saw too much play” is just a bad take

He could be permanently Immune (even when cheated out) and his battlecry could give your other minions Immune until your next turn. I hate it when cards get the Warsong Treatment.
