Rexxar vs Misha is just dumb

No notice of any kind you need Misha to stay alive, rather than do what you’re always supposed to do and reduce the opponent’s life to 0. Sure, I know the story is Rexxar tames Misha not kill him, but you depleted the lives of the previous 2 opponents and they didn’t die either, even gaining the respect of Blackhand just like how I thought you had to beat Misha to gain its respect (even though the Trap did all the damage, I thought that was Rexxar’s since hunters lay traps).

I know learning how to do something so you do it right the next time is something, but it’s an entirely different thing when the game just completely hides the bare minimal information you need.

IDK, I did Misha in t he first attemp. I think it was evident what to do.

uhm, a giant bear trap with taunt that damages a bear named misha… i find it hard to be much clearer what the mission is…

it isnt unreasonable of blizzard to assume the players have some sort of basic brain functions and are able to make the conclusion that maybe, just maybe, you are supposed to kill the trap…

Rexxar is a hunter, hunters use traps. See Freezing Trap for example. It doesn’t make sense to destroy your own trap. Until you have it beat Misha and discover it’s not yours.

On top of that, showing your strength is in the WoW world the best way to get respect of someone (see the previous battle vs Blackhand for example), so defeating the proud Misha to gain her respect makes sense.

So basically what the battle seems as: Rexxar discovers Misha lives in the forest, leaves some traps to meet her because otherwise she’ll just immediately run away, the traps are pretty heavy-duty but he has no choice since Misha’s too powerful for convential traps and even nice Ogres/Orcs are crude creatures, then fends off her attacks and wears her down to gain her respect.

Misha is literally rexxars pet bear, ofc the story would include how he met it… you didnt per chance notice that your deck severly lacked any way to do damage to misha without attacking through the taunt first? that they would make a fight thats literally “pass all turns” makes even less sense…

I thought that was the gimmick: the trap blocks you from dealing with Misha’s non-Taunt monsters and also prevents you from dealing more than 4 damage per turn, so you may choose to get rid of the trap to better control her field and/or deal far more face damage. Basically, I thought it was a double-edged sword.

Also, the deck has a lot of stuff that is bad for keeping Misha alive as well. For example, Scavenging Hyena is completely unusable: if you decide to buff it with Alleycats and stuff so it can deal a huge chunk of damage to the trap, Misha just rams her face into it and kills herself. Even if she has 0 cards in hand, she will very likely draw something to gain ATK, so “wait for the right moment” isn’t possible. But if the goal is to kill Misha, it suddenly has use!

That’s kind of how I saw the encounter. I guess we tried to overthink it. Figured it out after Misha died on the first attempt and obviously had not problem winning the next attempt.

But Rexxar said it will tame the bear. And you are a hunter that uses traps. It NEVER mention who the hell put that trap or that you are trying to save Misha.

For me he was trying to capture the bear… TO TAME HER.

The trap was just a gimmick so the Boss could only receive 4 damage per turn and you need to control the board wisely because of the enemy hero power.

But no, it was just a garbage designed fight.

You see a poor cute bear in problems, then you help that poor cute bear. CASE CLOSE

You ever play those co-op brawls? It’s like that. The premise has been in the game for a long time.

Co-op Brawls always tell you though. Plus they move the attack target around so the other player can also attack the target, the other player doesn’t attack you but cooperates unlike Misha, and the target doesn’t make it look like it’s intended as aid since it attacks you.

the fact that in co-op brawls way to many players tries to kill their opponent despite the instructions being specific indicates that maybe, just maybe, the issue is that some players just refuse to read and use their heads.

It was pretty self explanatory…

Yeah this mission was flipping REEEEEEEEE. The story line is annoying as shart. So I mute the game and just try and pay attention to fighting. The storyline is not immersive and there’s nothing special to it.
I too thought I was supposed to outlast Misha and kill him. So don’t feel alone in that. I’m just doing these things to level up etc. I don’t care about the story, if I wanted WC lore etc. I’d read a flipping book etc.
