Returning player bots for 5 hours

I have not played in over 6 months I’ve been playing bots for 5 hours straight. The same 4 decks again and again. Is there any way out of this?
Suggestion for blizzard: if you don’t feel confident enough to ban, why not have a ‘bot score’ that is used in matching making. I’m sure you have some ML algorithm that is scoring every account for being a bot. Use standard matching, but then within this match people with low bot scores to each other. This way even in silver or low ranks you have a higher chance of playing a human and bots can play bots.

The fact that they don’t is really surprising to me. They must be really pulling the investments out of Blizzard Hearthstone team to not have that with Microsoft being their parent company.

The reason why I know that they don’t is that their first take at matchmaking based on classification to bots vs not bots was for arena where anyone using the “Retire” button often gets put in a bot queue.

That’s not really ML now, is it xD It’s pathetic.

The last few years have been very bot heavy. Easy to spot. Easy to win against knowing how it will play. But annoying. I found you have to push through the bracket that bots are capable of. That threshold seems to be about Platinum. Every season resets your rank, so you have to grind past the bots again but late gold, and early Platinum I’ve found maybe 1/10 games are bots, versus the start of seasons being generally 9/10 are bots. i stopped reporting bots circa 2020 when it became evident that blizz had no intentions of fixing the problem.

The Blizzard Owned Bots are there for the playerbase as it is most likely in decline, and in order to stave off people being turned off by long matching queues (upwards of a few minutes once you hit the ready button and you wait and wait…) if on mobile you’re more likely to back out and do something else. So the Bots are there to keep the matchmaking short for all.

Its a shame the Bots can reach platinum, even I cant get that high of a rank. But the player ran bots, thats a different story all together. Blizzard bots usually fall into a pattern of naming like “CoolPants” or “FancyPanda” simple 2 word names, and you wont see them in your recent opponents listings in your friend list UI. Player bots you will.
