This issue is resolved.

whats forcing you? is your game bugged ?
If you click on the button on the top right on the Battlegrounds screen then you can switch between Battlegrounds and Battlegrounds Duos.
The Poopsmith one of the best characters in the Homestar Runner franchise.

the game has a pop up on the first time you enter BG after duo was added showing where the button to switch mode is…
If you click a pop up away without reading it because you might think it is just an an add/commercial then that is possible.
The button is not very obvious. Some might think that this season is all Duos without realizing that it is possible to switch between the modes.

i have no idea how that can happen
the first time you go into BG after duos was added :
BG will be on solo mode
until you click the button for the first time
the pop up tells you where the button is and what it does
and you need to click on it at least once to switch to duos
is impossible to play duos without touching the button at least once
You could be drunk and not notice.
Your little brother could push some buttons while you are not looking.
Doesn’t matter anyway now because apparently the issue got resolved.
at least the button isnt gone
i thought the button was bugged like a while ago when a bug removed/ disabled the format change button and people coudlnt switch between wild and standard
