Come on Blizzard, do it!
It’s the best out of all the group.

I liked Diablo III RoS, but it was the first Diablo I ever played though.
Diablo 1 was awesome. Much darker then the others. All in a church within tristem. No hand holding, rejuvinating mana, 1 spell active at a time unless you hotkeyed spells and no health bars on evil minions.
D1 is super epic especially Brevik and the other dev’s voice acting and self-made sound fx.
D2 is the bee’s knees.
If only they’d remaster 2 with a balance patch for items, such as deleting Enigma out of the game, and especially Spirit sword - they box out builds + are wayyy too powerful for investment required.
Boss-Stand-Rounds would have to go, along with Exp-gained from group clearing A85’s. So no more Baal-minion-wave leveling…or at least 10 percent it so it’s not some primo way to least-resistance the game.
Java Bows are totally underdamaged…where Faith just beats everything.
Obvi Hdin, Blizz-Sorc and Light-Sorc are the meta ways to D2 and basically are looked down upon for that. Windy Druid? Gross, you like…stand there? Who cares if you clear the gameplay isn’t fun.
Throw Barb? Sign me up, cept repairing axes repeatedly ruins the flow.
Fav Diablo game of all time D2, (OOT is the best-game ever made) HS years 1-LoE is for sure up there too…and D2 is not just about BaalChaos stand round and meta build. There’s a self-imposed goal of finding all the hardest items in the game, maybe besides lolTyrael’s, and that’s where the “real endgame” comes from.
Not even going on a 2 day essay about D3. It did a couple things well, and a lot of things totally-wrong. A common misconception is D3’s combat is the good part, but the rest of the game isn’t. D3’s combat is very shortsighted…you can just walk by anything in the game…there isn’t stun/FHR…fast-moving enemies…I mean it’s truly pathetic.
D3 doesn’t even have chase items - the core of the game - that are different in an engaging way from what you already own. They are the same-items…with maxed-rolls…that you’ve had since couple hours into a season. Sorry for harsh, D3 has turbo-movespeed skills…instead of gearing affixes for that…so you like…nitro around using sets to attack just-elites that don’t-move-fast or stun-you…chasing better-copies of items you already had…in a rift instead of a quest…for gem ups? Like that’s a summary.
The only ‘challenge’ in D3 is to 1st-conquest at season start with a group of friends. D3’s season lifespan is like 2 days to a week, whereas at least HS stays fun for a month or sometimes even two into an expansion. Sorry for harsh again.
D2 tho what a masterpiece - even with it’s giant glaring flaws that could easily be fixed - it’s not even debatable how much more TLC and expertise was put into D2.
They tried with D3, and its totally fine they flopped, but the worst part is the total neglect of that, and worsened by pitching D3 as some well-received game, or at this point just walling everyone with "multi games w multi plats for multi people"which isn’t even transparent yet it’s trying to give the illusion (remember, illusion of choice? how that was why skills were not-levelable?) that they are being transparent when they are-not.
Hopefully someday they get the understanding we are not just beta-testers for D4 once the skeleton’s done. If they valued making the ‘best diablo possible’ they’d ask the forums “hey what do u like and cant-stand about D1/2/3 and why”. ….but they don’t. We are just beta testers and wallets to them…instead of a development resource who knows what we like and dislike.
Who wouldn’t want Brevik Matt-U and Schaefer’s and such to at least be-involved with Diablo’s future right?
