Reno Will Be Unnerf When Hit Wild?

The devs said anything about this? The Reno card will be unnerfed when left Standard? Asking because if not I will not craft again because the time for Standard is running out.

With very, very few exceptions they unnerf cards when they rotate to Wild. I don’t know specifically about Reno, my gut says it stays mostly as it is.
Cards that get a functional change don’t always get reverted on rotation. Since Reno had a couple significant changes which were more than just ‘nerf’ it might fall into that category. Just like I don’t see them reverting Boomboss.
My guess is they drop the cost back down to 9 though. Entirely speculation on my part.

I could see a partial revert - current effect, 8M - but not a full revert.

I am hoping they announce a change to all highlander cards for the no dupe start of game effect though. Decks that are draw heavy shouldnt be able to get the highlander benefits.

Excuse me, what’s the rationale behind that? ‘Unnerfed’ cards are usually not eligible for a refund anyway, if I’m not mistaken.

No complet unnerf pls, but Set him Back to 8 Mana would be great.

I assume it’s not a dust question. Just whether to craft the card to actually play in standard for a bit before it rotates to Wild. If they only want the original version for their future wild decks, it wouldn’t make sense to craft at all since you won’t get the dust.
I kinda get what they are asking, I just don’t think the information is knowable until they announce rotation.

They can full revert it to original as long as it reverts all the way to the original and becomes a deck check instead of start of game.

Reno’s effect wasn’t so bad when you could stuff their deck to negate it.

And they should NEVER make reno effects start of game. Ever. I don’t care if draw heavy decks get them in wild. If this becomes meta they will be easily dealt with in wild.

I assume it’s “Reno sucks in current form” question, actually.

OP will craft if it reverts and is playable again.

Yes, what I said with more words

If I have sure the card will return to the original effect for 8 manas I will craft, it is crap for the time left in Standard, but good enough to play in my highlander decks in Wild.

But if remain in this disgraceful state of overnerf then I will lose my dust, better don’t risky.

Thanks for the replies.

I think alot of cards might get unnerfed before they go to wild i dont know if some cards dont get unnerfed when they go to wild has there ever been cases where cards go to wild nerfed ?

Well, no matter, we’ve got the answer below.

Understood.

Well, if you wanna play it in Wild in case it gets reverted, I suppose you’ll have to wait, and that’s it, for we don’t know for sure now.

PS

Oh, almost forgot one small thing: there’s also a possibility that Reno will be in the next year’s Core set — we don’t know, but if it came to pass, there’d be no need to craft, even. Thus, I’d wait.

Yes, they should. BUT they should do it RIGHT. It should be both start of game (so only highlander decks can run them) AND current deck (so counterplay exists).

Some people have the misconception (like Boreas) that Reno was changed to start of game so Plagues didnt counter it. Thats wrong. Reno was changed so the only highlander decks would work with Reno. They just did a piss poor job of it by making it start of game only, not start and current.

Nerf reversions on rotation is only a new thing, the last 1 or maybe 2 rotations, and only for cards that werent problematic in wild as well. Before that everything rotated in its nerfed state. Reno was a problem in wild as well, so is unlikely to receive a nerf revert.
