I never post about unfair losses in this game. Mostly because there is still stuff to love about the game even when you lose a close game.
But Reno Lone Ranger needs to be adjusted.
Specifically the combination of the arcane bullet refreshing a players mana by 2. Along with the mage dragon card allowing a player to use their hero power as many times as they want.
I was playing a game as a druid. I pride myself on crafting great decks that can last through multiple portions of the game.
I had my mage opponent with no cards left taking fatigue damage.
I had 40 health and 45 armor on top of that.
The mage opponent played reno lone ranger, fine, i played one minion, then their next turn they got that arcane bullet choice in their hero power and on one turn played that dragon card and used their hero power to take away my 95 health in one turn.
This really doesnt seem right or fair.
And i know life isnt fair but this game is suppossed to be designed for some fairness amongst the different classes. Having that dragon card be a mage card gives that class a advantage.
If you cant play long form games as a druid then that class is effectively dead.
The more i think about it, the game creators need to amend reno lone rangers arcane bullet power.
Hope someone listens to my plea.
Winning most of a game, playing 40 odd turns, and watching someone use ostensibly a cheat code to take me out, wasnt fun.
I had health and armor gains to come back if i was given another turn too.
They played reno, killed my board, i had 1 turn i played 1 minion that i could in my reno lone ranger chaos slot. Then there next turn they recieved an extra long turn to use their hero power about 40 times.
Can someone fix this…i dont think any player should get to use their hero power 40 times in one turn.
So you weren’t winning most of the game as there plan was to simply survive until they did this combo, therefor they were winning the whole time.
You were playing druid? druid can have over a thousand armor, should have done that maybe you wouldn’t have died.
Not a cheat code they high rolled the hero power(If they truly only had reno for the 1 turn)
Having more health/cards in deck/minions on board, then a player isn’t “winning” some decks plan on using cards that benefit from “being behind” in some way
Would you also complain if they had found a way to trigger mech-a-thunn and won while you were at 80+“hp”?
What about Lich Uthers hero card effect is that cheating?
Just because these effect look more like a “hey they are up to something I better stop them” effect doesn’t change the opponent had a plan they got a combo and won
also if you didn’t kill them by turn 15, 20, 25 that is a you fault for letting them draw every card in there deck so they could combo you
“extra long turn” some effects don’t require you to let animations finish to perform, they just needed to drag the hero power to your face while it animated so while it looks like they had a long turn really the animations just aren’t keeping up with the actions so they may have taken 30 seconds on there screen for the game to have all the actions loaded to kill you
If it was mechathun you would see signs of that deck coming. So no i dont think that deck wouldve been a cheat.
Reno lone ranger isnt designed to give a player some infinite repeating hero power, and thats the glitch.
The main power of reno lone ranger is tge board clear right? And i dont begrudge the card that epic ability. But it does feel massively unfair to hinder a players board AND give them a infinite hero power.
I see what you are saying about animation time vs them performing the mechanics.
Even if i load my deck with the card to make your opponents hero power cost 5 more, they can still cycle through renos hero powers and potentially get the arcane bullet again and lead to fatal damage if they have that dragon card.
Either the dragon card needs to be nuetral for every class to play the reno lone ranger cheat, or they need to change the arcsne bullet on reno lone ranger.
well unfortunately for you Coldarra Drake infinites are so slim/hard to pull off so that card isn’t getting nerfed and reno has been “Terrorizing” standard and all he has got is a bump from 8 to 9 mana, and a rework to how standard highlander cards function(start of game check instead of when played check)
Even if they nerfed it to refresh 1 mana or hero power activate at 4 mana the deck could still run singalong buddy to create the infinite (might need a thaurissan to pull off)
