Until the next expansion, Renathal will be back in standard as his unnerfed 40 health 40 card decks. Unlike Genn and Baku, this will probably have a significant impact on the meta (especially druid and warrior)

Limited-Time Event: Renathal Returns to Core!
With Patch 30.6, until the launch of The Great Dark Beyond on November 5, Prince Renathal will be added to the free Core Set! That means he will be playable for all players in Standard and Wild during that time. Two years ago, Renathal had his run of the meta and had to be reined in. Now he’s back with a vengeance! What will you be able to do with 10 extra life and 10 extra cards in your deck?!

They’re doing it to sell the signature version of Renathal, just like with Baku and Genn. I am interested to see how it shakes up the meta

I dont believe so. I think the only cards to make a return thus far is Genn and Baku. Unless I am wrong.

I do believe Renathal was put back in standard for a bit last year, but in the time between it was unnerfed to its original 40 health hero
EDIT:I might be wrong I cant seem to find where it would have been

Last year it wasn’t rotated yet, just nerfed to 35.

You’re right, Murder at Castle Nathria really felt like a lifetime ago I just remembered XL reno decks. For some reason I thought it was 3 years ago instead of 2

Nerfed Renathal is in 7 of the top 12 decks (all of tier 1 and 2) decks in wild, so much that tempo storm called wild a control meta. The card is the most played card in wild. It has literally taken over the format.
What excatly do they think will happen in standard in pre-nerf form?

This is a completely ridiculous choice and I hope it blows up in their face.
Renathal should have been sent to HoF, not reprinted in nicer format.

I just couldn’t resist and bought the signature version, is a card loved by true hs deck builders and only hated by the scammers who want games to end in turn 5-6…
Also nathria castle is in my top 3 expansions of all time.

Me in wild right now with shadow pirate priest. I’ve ended games turn 4 against non-renathal decks. Renethal + turn 6 original Reno destroys me
