In an RNG based game it’s pretty ridiculous even more RNG is pushed, especially when a whole board can be cleared with a single, effortless play. Im sick of having a 30 minute game with high stacks being a loss just cause of a RNG poison build. Especially with murlocs seeing as they already have multiple cards to stack health and damage. Just remove full poison builds from the mode, it seems pretty simple. When coupling that stack with divine shield or amalgam build, it is quite literally unbeatable. Battlegrounds is relatively less RNG based than main play, but this poison build bs has gotta go.
Murlocs can get neither DS nor Reborn, and don’t scale stats especially well. In particular they have 0 passive scaling and 0 abilities other than poison. If they can’t get a full board of poison you’re basically deleting them from the game. They don’t synergize with most hero powers or buddies, either.
Poison Murloc boards are probably the least RNG boards in the game, by the way.
my favorite builds are when i can get double poison spider with reborn, and a golden DR give 2 minions DS
So are massive dragon builds with shields should that go as well?
Find it funny somewhat … only godroll poison murloc build with brann since early have decent stats AND poison .
Elemental can get winfury with DS , making it usually a 1 for 2 trade …
Dragon can reborn , DS , huge stats , also usully a 1 for 2 trade with murloc poison …
Demon,beast and mech can summon plenty to still have stuff once the board traded 1 for 1
I mean poison is meh , needs few counters and few more ways to add it (imho)
I don’t think poison should be deleted but, I would really like it to be reworked. Like maybe have it reduce stats, tick damage per attack, or have different levels of poison that do extra damage based on the level of the poison. A 1/1 poison minion shouldn’t be able to outright kill anything without divine shield. Nothing sucks the fun out of BGs when you finally get that perfect non poison build only to be beaten by a bunch of low stat poison minions. Personally, even when I take the top spot with a poison build I just feel dirty and it doesn’t even feel rewarding.
What “perfect” build loses to small poison minions? Pirates have tons of extra small hits. Beasts Cleave and/or can get tons of huge tokens. Mechs have tons of shields, refresh shields, and can have mid-sized tokens or cleave. Dragons are fat and have multiple DS layers, and can delete shields or super tiny minions without taking hits. Elementals have a DS minion and a jank Cleave, but in general scale stats super hard. Demons can get pings and small tokens; they’re mostly better early on. Quillboar kind of stink as a standalone tribe, but support menagerie and other tribes.
Totally fubar… the purpose of the murloc poison build is just to build a maddening rage in every player in every game no matter what else you play because its always there and there isnt jack you can so about… so broken… seriously… this is responsible for half of the people who go nuts and decide to go mass murder a mall…
Except mechs and beasts hard counter murlocs.
Finding those really unfun, I just autoconcede any murloc lobby. Problem solved.
Would be nice if there was a feature to ban a certain tribe, and never queue up in a lobby with said tribe.
What other ability in battlegrounds completely negates the strength of building a cohesive deck?
