It’s not personal. It’s just that the system you are asking for was tried before and it was a monumental failure.

You do have a point: the ranking system is meaningless.
Someone pointed out that using the MMR instead of false ranks is probably a better option. Probably need to change the rewarding system as well.
It honestly wouldn’t be that bad if they removed MMR below legend. The start of the month would suck a little more for a small percent of people, but other than that I think it would be fine.
He isn’t suggesting the star system be removed, just MMR. The star system is great IMO and would already mitigate some of the downsides that would come from removing MMR below legend.
I don’t have a problem with both being active though.
The reason people think it’s rigged is because they lose more often then they think they should and will believe whatever narrative supports it. This solution would only shift the cause somewhere else.
It’s pretty lacking as is. You would think if they wanted people to spend money to craft the best decks that they would properly incentivize people to reach legend.
