Enough is enough, ban it. It’s a trash card that needs to be removed from all pools. Just do it. Don’t even think about keeping it. Just remove it from the game. Like it never existed.

Overall Mr. Smite and OTK’s should be tuned down since there are not enough options to play around them.
Not good enough remove everything anyone ever dislikes it would so totally make the game perfect.
Just uninstall the game from everyones’ PC, give us back our money, and erase HS from everyones’ memories. Then maybe I’ll be happy. Though I didn’t spend a single euro on the game.

make smite 10 mana and paladin hero 9 mana with a weapon that loses durability
If you are mad about a finisher that actuall finishes games, then you are just going to be mad about something else.
Smite is fine. Play better.
people were mad control/armor decks were doing what it was meant to do (controlling until late game).

I’m not happy that Blizzard brought charge back. I’m glad that Mr. Smite will rotate next year.
He’s not a problem right now though. The cost increase removed a lot of the bounce shenanigans in rogue. The Nellie nerf removed another annoying interaction. Smite being generated by the Juggernaut is still obnoxious, but thankfully almost no one plays pirate warrior anymore. He’s fine.
BUT without Mr Smite how else am i going to do 30+ damage in the one turn you are unable to play a taunt ?
love how blizzard removed leeroy because rogue could shadowstep and play it consecutively 3 times then they printed mr smite which rouge can still shadowstep twice on one turn after reductions and paladins can play it from hand as a 20 attack and put 30 mana worth of attack buffs on it for 0 mana
At the time Leeroy was rotated, he was 5 mana, therefore you could only play him twice in a turn. People need to stop with these false equivalences. He was rotated not because he was op but because the devs didn’t want him in standard forever because it would kill variety. Mr smite was just nerfed and will also rotate.
if you prep him using 2x hand cost reduction mechs you can do 2 smites in one turn, or if you pre-shadow step and do him twice in the following turn, how is that a false equivalence ? its pretty easy to get him reduced to 2 plays in a turn.
Remove mr smite, nerf cariel up to 10 mana, cariel hero power bow gives +2, give Paladin the control warrior treatment
It’s not about being something you personally don’t like.
It’s about blizzard straight-up lying about their design philosophy and printing tons of OTK/charges.

In Rogue the issue is mostly in VanCleef.
No no, what Rogues do with it is fine, changes will be reverted only for Rogues using Smite. Warriors though, warriors were the problem. Silly 1-cost smite saving their life/game at the last second. Dead warrior dies and stays dead not turn around like every other class!
Your justification for deleting smite was leeroy was deleted. But it wasn’t the 4 mana version that was rotated.
Your ARGUMENT boils down to ‘CHARGE BAD’, which is not one I have much patience for. Some decks must be allowed strong finishers from hand. Every shadowstep on smite is one you can’t use on another high value target.
Stonetusk boar however was 1 mana, so I can see why that had no place in standard any more.
not my thread, I didn’t say delete smite, I was simply pointing out that blizzard are all “WE HATE CHARGE” leeroy shadowstep being on of the reasons, they rotate every charge card to wild then they went printed another charge that could be shadowstepped shrug
But like I say, they never had a problem with the shadowstep interaction. If Smite is a problem, you cannot argue its not been addressed
na I just wonder why they effectively deleted all charge minions then printed another charge? and I think discounting smite and then playing him twice on one turn seems about balanced, it’s almost a 10 mana 3 card pyroblast so it’s pretty slow so probably fine?
In my opinion paladin playing it as a 15 attack charge for 7 then putting 30 mana worth of buffs on him for 0 mana not so fine.
