Enemy(mage) got Bru’kan after playing Theotar. Later in game his hero power changed to “Fire invocation”. I got full board of minions and he played “Reckless apprentice”. Minions took hits but didn’t die, instead all damage was done to my face and it was gg.
Not a bug. A Reckless Apprentice will trigger a Hero Power a number of times equal to the number of enemy characters, but the Hero Power still has to obey its targeting requirements.
Fire Invocation can only target the enemy Hero.

More accurately, Fire Invocation’s effect can only damage the enemy hero, regardless of who it targets.
If Fire Invocation read “Deal 6 damage. This can only target the enemy hero”, it would actually work exactly as OP expected it to.
Just a minor nitpick 
I suppose. I guess Fire Invocation can’t ‘target’ anything, in the sense how targeting functions in Hearthstone, similar to how the Hunter’s Hero Power works.
