Rating teammates personally in Battlegrounds

There should be a way to rate teammates in Battlegrounds duos, perhaps a thumbs up/down system, when playing with random people. I’m tired of being matched with individuals who will leave the game while you’re still progressing, disrespect the board you’re building, fail to collaborate appropriately, or make a bunch of absurd plays that don’t match our level of experience (even though the game claims it’s matching us with someone of the same skill level).

Maybe a rating system could help filter out bad players, allowing for matches with people of similar abilities, so these players won’t ruin our fun when we want to play BG. It’s becoming unsustainable to play with random people!!! Not fun at all!

All a rating system will do is give those same jerks an extra way to troll you by giving you thumbs down.

Maybe, but we should consider the system’s intelligence: a downvote from someone with a very low rating should be interpreted differently than an upvote from someone with a high rating.

Im fine with this as long as it does not affect matchmaking in the slightest, because it is abusable if it does. If players can just look at it and deicide if they wanna bother playing with a baddie, then yes, go for it.

I agree. Duo’s should only unlock if you get to 10k mmr on regular battlegrounds. Oh and remove deathrattle from the whole mode so you have to actually THINK !!

You’re trying to fix a problem that all games in the world find unfixable. To not be trolled by randoms if you have to make a team with them at competitive rankings. The only fix is to play with people you already know.

To be good at duos you must not only have skill in battlegrounds but also in treating people with respect otherwise they will troll you…

I only play with randoms and I haven’t had any problems for a long time… im in 6200 classification…

It will happen anyway, some people go online just to vent.

Respect helps but not always.

It works for me wich makes me think that this guys must be asking for it themselves by criticizing the other players and sending them emotes about how they should play non-stop…

Had a Gomu teammate die with me while he was holding 6 pass a minion tavern spells…some people bring it upon themselves…i was playing tavern spell mechs…

Its the ones who cant recognize their own mistakes that ruin it for everyone.

No, friend. Maybe you’re lucky, or perhaps you just don’t mind too much. Let me explain the kind of player I am: I ALWAYS check the decisions my teammates make before starting my own. I always choose the type of minion based on their choices. And what do they do? They decide to build a game using the same type of minion I’ve been using, but by turn 5. They sell their minions and update the tavern like crazy, even though we’ve been losing all the previous turns. I send all the necessary minions for their board because it’s in our mutual interest, but they hold onto their cards and won’t even buy the third minion when I ask, etc. These kind of players not even got the concept of team/duo and mostly will play a totally egocentric game.

Of course, I’m not talking about everyone, but it feels like about 50% of the players are just terrible. You might be the only person who plays Battlegrounds with random players and can say you have a good experience. I’m at 5k and have lost hope of climbing higher because of these teammates. Unfortunately, the people I know can’t always play together, and if the game offers the chance to play with unknown players, they should also address the issue of playing with people who don’t care about the game.

The problem is…the same genious will have the same opinion about u even if u did all right.

As I mentioned in another response, this should not be an issue in a smart system. A downvote from a low-rated account should not be interpreted the same way as a downvote from a normal or high-rated account.

I believe that people who play like trolls do not do so sporadically, so a system like this would likely be effective.

To clarify, I’m not suggesting that we ban people. Instead, if someone receives too many downvotes, they would MOSTLY be matched with others who have the same rating. To return to playing with normal users, they would need to improve their behavior.

Personally i will out-troll the ones i meet. And that only happens sporadically, so theres that…

I got stuck in 5000-5500 for awhile due to bad teammates. Unfortunately the teammates at 6000 are also a mixed bag because anyone can get to 6000 with enough games played. The quality of the teammates starts to improve dramatically after 6500. I basically went 1st or 2nd place every single match from 6500 to 7500.

It would really be nice to be able to report/avoid the trolls and seemingly brand new players that somehow ended up in 5000-6500
