I’ve played almost 40 games of standard today, and over 20 of those games have been against agro DK bots. What happened to blizzard taking action against bot accounts?

They ban one bot 10 more take its place. It’s a losing battle of whack a bot. About the only way to get rid of bots is change into a pay to play format and get rid of rewards.
I would rather see more stringent checks on account creation.
Requiring multiple factor authentication would be a good step in the correct direction to enforcing account limits.
If you limit the number of accounts tied to a phone number, you would then have to get working burners for every three accounts you create, which would dramatically hinder bot farms.
I would be open to doing Capticha checks every game if it led to less bots and I’m not even joking about that.

I’m not opposed to Blizzard migrating towards an LCG model of monetization. We had a lite version of that back when they did adventures and such and a lot of people really enjoyed it.

they could easily come up with an algorithm to ban bots which makes me think they want bots because there arent enough people playing

Hmm, wouldn’t it be easier to just let suspicious account solve a puzzle every now and then? Bots should be fought with automated measures.
I would rather concede immediately and lose rank then spend any time messing with a bot. Typically at least in my play time I get matched with a human directly after.
You know what that algo looks like? Captcha every 5 minutes. Dont get me wrong, a proactive method needs to bbe used for botting, but captcha repeatedly is effectively what you are suggesting.

What rank are you at? I haven’t seen a DK bot EVER.

Interesting take.
How about, increase the skill floor to do well in this game to a point where it would take significant investment in developing a bot that actually has to play well, versus a bot that just plays the first card it draws on curve.
I’ve been losing a ton at D5 and I WISH i started seeing more aggro death knight bots.
People would still bot in that universe it will just be rope bots instead of Face Bots.
Blizzard isn’t going to do anything about bots. They love them so much they’ve introduced their own bots to the game with AdjectiveNoun random names and all playing either DK or Hunter.
The only thing to really take from it is that fact that ALL bots play aggro decks tells you everything you need to know about the “skill” aggro players say it takes to play aggro.
If they take action against bots it will reveal the true player base numbers. Better people get quick toxic games rather than real games.
If you’re always D5 and above, you won’t see them.
Create a new account or use another region without bonus stars and they’ll be there for you. It appears a lot from bronze 1 to platinum 5, even if you get a 90%+ win rate.
