Tier 0 is a bit much. Especially in a meta where I’ve seen a fair amount of dirty rats which is usually pretty brutal for rainbow mage cause of the lower minion count and how long sif tends to sit in hand. I’ll give it a shot but ehhhhhh. Maybe post nerfs tier 2 is my expectation.

- Audio amplifier is good because 11 mana helps with your Sif combo and because throughout the game you don’t wanna discard cards. Stats are meaningless
- Lightshow, especially one, is useless in this meta. Stargazing is used to draw 4 cards for 2 mana in most cases (wisdom of norganon)
Predictions are pointless, because they’re wrong most of the times
It’s the only useful thing if you’re competitive

I kinda think that the transformation rainbow mage is about to have is bigger than changing cards.
Basically people will change How they pilot it.
Stuff like frostbolt for example annoy handbuff paladin a lot and can force suboptimal turn on it.
Warlocks you just burn like there is no tomorrow.
Basically rainbow mage is becoming something you play in a more reactive way where your understanding of the opponent deck is more important than ever.
Have you heard of “sarma”? It’s meat wrapped up in cabbage
So if poor people eat cabbage, and rich people eat meat, on average everyone is eating “sarma”.
That’s not how the world works, though.
And How you improve over sarma ?
How you understand the average is sarma so you don’t end thinking cabbage is “good”?

I’ll tell you what I don’t do - I don’t take two random decks and check where they differ or where they are the same.
If I’m interested in single card stats, I check up single card stats. If I’m interested in a specific variant of Rainbow Mage, I look up the winrate of that specific rainbow mage.
I don’t take an “average” of all rainbow mage decks (whatever that means anyway) because then I’m making “sarma”
Game is a complex system and normal descriptive statistics are notoriously useless in analyzing such systems. As someone above mentioned, even replacing one single card can make or break your deck due to synergies.
1+1 > 2 in these systems make your stats useless for deckbuilding

You trying to kill in turn 3 or 4? Because outside this and M-A-Y-B-E control warrior the deck is absolutely disgunsting OP, the most poserful deck ever made in this game history.
Very few times we had a OTK deck can outrun aggro and this one is the best in this category.

I’m really having a tough time seeing how this kind of win rate is even possible. The best decks in the format rip this deck apart with a bad mulligan.

Mate, you are being called out on your BS and yet you complain. No one is saying that you SHOULD have played 10000 games with Rainbow mage. The people are saying tho that you SHOULD NOT have said it is Tier 0 after couple dozen of games. Simples.

The new generation of rainbow mage if we can call it that can force suboptimal turns to most opponents in the meta during the early and then get khadgar online.
With that said his version is too combo focused to be that good.
The best deck in the game is paladin and it’s very easy to beat with this deck. Has there been a change in the meta and warrior is the best deck? Only that way would your statement be truthful.
