They are just too powerful. Not that the devs are interested in balancing or anything but just thought I would drop a note.
TBF Quilboar require you to get enough buff minions to be worthwhile, and then you need Geomancer Roogug multiple times, and probably also Bannerboars, Drummers, Charlga, and even Drakkari Enchanter.
Or you could highroll quest rewards like my opponent did last game and trash the lobby with 600+ health minions.

Quests make them significantly less powerful, though.
You over state the difficulty in building a top four board with the tribe.

if you buy the 2 blood gem buffers and just hold them, or use them as space filler, it slows them down, a lot

Otherwise to give you a reply - yes, quilboars are strong, but probably not those you mean. The spell quilboars abusing discounts on spells and casting extra bloodstones, sometimes 30+ per turn. Those are broken, but they are only broken because of the spell meta+specific quests, which help them do that (double spells, cost 1 less).
I do complain and after a break I come back to see if they have improved anything and they don’t. Sure I come back to let them know that they are doing a crap job. you’re welcome, community service at best.
AFK is the only hero who’s win rate favors Quillboar. That’s 1 out of 78 heroes - not exactly blowing up the OP charts my man. Not to say you can’t high roll them sometimes.
Quilboar are mostly a mid-tier unit to get you into late game half the time. They provide slow incremental scaling with divine shields, also fulfilling a lot of quest requirements.
Beyond this, not so OP as to warrant flying off the handle here. Battlegrounds has a lot of problems and even bugs - want to complain about this rationally then I’m with you. If you want to complain about a non-issue though, sort of falls on deaf ears.
