Question about wild

Are we at the point where this game is so unbalanced that the meta is just to destroy as many of your opponent’s cards as possible? I ask because every other game is some kind of mill deck. Imagine physically sitting across the table from someone and on their turn, they reach over and snatch 3 of your cards and rip them up. What’s the strategy against this? Shadow mage or bust?

The main wild strategy is killing your opponent on the turn 3 or 4.
I don’t know what decks you meet, but this strategy always worked, against everything.

Play lower ranked wild. You’ll face all sorts of strategies. Mill exists in my meta but it’s rare.

The game play that you describe does exist, but it is not the most frustrating or restrictive that I encounter. I am in Diamond levels right now, and I am having the most problems with Uther Paladin and Imbue Mage. They put you on the clock to win by Turn 6 or 7 or else you are highly likely to lose on their combo turn.

I have been playing mostly aggro the last couple of months, having quite a bit of success with Pirate DH. I used to like playing Renathal Highlander Hunter. It has a fair amount of disruption but not enough to stop either of the decks I mentioned, so I turned to aggro. I see a fair amount of CtA Paladin, which has its own share of disruption strategies combined with reasonable aggro, but I haven’t tried it myself. I run into the hand/deck destruction strategy much less often.

My main Wild strategy is to play Standard because the Devs are out of their depth to balance the extremely more complicated format.

I know the math of it and I know it’s not just linearly harder to balance but exponentially.
