Quest pirate Warrior counter?

how do u counter this booring vommiting hyper aggro deck ?

-get a lot of draw another cards/minions by battlecries
-can get strong weapon with no problems, even with lowering it cost
-can get free Healing by Armor with a 3 mana cost minion 2/4 gain 3 armor + a lot of other spells to get armor up
-can vommit much minions with + weapon damage or hit when weapon accquaired or Taunts + free weapon and other minion to free hit twice for 2 while weapon used
-easy quest finish and Rokara…
-much more crazy retarded synergy and options for a lower IQ…

srsly, how do u win vs him ?? all what i can see is a dream hand vs his worst hand + mass AoE spells to clear the waves of pirates, but not every class can do AoE and playing as another dumb warlock with cheated mana 8/8 minions in turn 4 isnt the way to go for me here…

so how to competetive win with him ? especially for example as Rogue lol ?

in my opinion hes wayyy too strong, the amount of Taunts, weapons, armor gain, overall vommiting minions and not hard draw/discover another card are wayyy too OP + the easy quest and rokara 7/7 + another problematic ship
some cards dat he use are wayy to cheap comparing to the effects and stacking he got

Hope they have a bad hand. Which is rare from how much draw team 5 gave them.

I’m wondering this too. I don’t see a counter unless you’re pirate warrior or mage with ice blocks.

i mean i can win some games ofc, but in average i just have no answers to stop him from the spamm of 2-3 mana minions and stronger ones, taunts, weapon draws and then quest finish the longer the game keeps, and i must first focus on minions cuz when he puts for example the 3 cost 2/4 one with +3 armor gain every turn, i must focus it, and he has other ones whos effects works in time at the end or begining turn…

without killing his minions from the start and answering for his every move, its literally dead by turn 5-6 by spamm of braindead

I hope this helps you, buddy. I took and uploaded a picture that displays the statistical probably against.

The list below is not in any particular.

  • Aggro Druid (34.8 favored)

  • Handbuff Paladn (44.1% favored.)

  • Libram Paladin (49% favored)

  • Secret Libram Paladin (45.5% favored)

  • Face Hunter: (47.8% favored.

  • And last but not least, Quest Hand Warlock.

So, in concusion, please look into these decks, because I assure you that it will completely change the way you enjoy the game.

A quick glance at hsreplay’s archtype matchup shows they have just one hard counter: aggro druid, with a 60% win rate vs them. So you gotta play vomit aggro to beat vomit aggro w/ a strong quest reward. Have fun!

Play priest. I play a lot of pirate warrior and priest has been handing me my butt today. Couold be bad luck on my part but priest hasn’t let up and it sucks for my w/l ratio.

If you mean big priest/rez priest, from my perspective does not work. It is quite hard to stabilize, you need to highroll as priest.

thanks but i dont like Pallys while u named 3 types
dont like typical aggro (vs the hyper aggro pirate here) and other Hunter deck which are another “easy” braindead class synonym

u show in the image a rogue with a Garrote which are useless vs every1 who can gain survivability for more than a 30hp (armor) and work only with full cast/draw 2x garrote + 4x Blood draw with a +3 spell damage = 30 dmg so its nowadays a meme deck for perfect last draw and it wont work vs Warrior who will kill us in 5th turn, and the weapon one varriant are MUCH WORSE here, cuz we cant hit warrior face while he put taun after taunt, getting armor and other minions on the board every turn which hit us

PS: using a stupid aggro vommit vs another aggro vommit isnt the cure for the problem with just stupid aggro vommit circle

While I feel lousy facing aggressive decks, also. However, I believe aggressive decks are a necessary evil due to the effect they have on the meta. Aggressive decks are vital to any CCG in the overall dynamic that is the meta.

:innocent:

Just try and imagine a meta wherein no aggressive decks existed. The meta will be a shell of its former sense.

wild or standard ?

baku quest hunter is in favored match up against quest pirate warrior at wild.
(you need some specific tech card if pirate warrior have anti spell tech card)
who ever get coin have higher chance to win.
pirate warrior impossible to win without drawing MR smite if they don’t get the coin.

in standard i have few deck which guarantee win on turn 4 and 5.
i will only share turn 5 grand finale deck since people already know it.

not gonna share the rest.

If you are talking wild…honestly, I don’t know. I played the deck to see what the hype was and went 27-2. It’s broken in wild. In fact, the only decks I lost to were another Pirate Warrior and a Heal Priest that specifically built their deck to counter every play a Pirate Warrior deck could do.

If you’re talking about standard, there are a few decks. After multiple losses against them as Priest, I’ve finally discovered a nice formula on how to beat them, or at the very least make it a 50/50 whereas before it was more 80% loss.

You have to wipe their board early, like turn 4/5 at the latest. This is because their power spike on those turns with cannonier is too big and you cannot let them stabilize here. You then have to wipe their board again as soon as they play their reward. At this point, they will start running out of resources, but very soon they will build their board up again with card draw or a lucky Juggernaut weapon/minion spawn. This is where you need your 3rd board wipe.

After that, I’ve found they pretty much can’t catch up. This is if you’re playing Priest or another slow Control deck.

If you’re playing anything else, you need to hit them extremely fast and hard similar to Quest Warlock or a massive Aggro Druid build. The key is that their cannons are random, so the more minions you have, the better off you are. You can’t just have 2 minions on board, even if they are big. You need to have 3+ on board and it benefits you a lot if those minions have 3 health or more.

Yes, it’s really strong in Standard and it’s absolutely broken in Wild. But, standard is not lost. If the new expansion doesn’t create problems for it, we’re likely going to see a nerf to the cannonier or the quest to 3/3/3. But I think a lot of problems are coming for Quest Warrior with this new expansion so nerfs likely are not needed.

You know what always worked well for me?

Quest Mage.

If you’re talking about Wild, according to the most recent VS Wild report (from Oct 17):

  • Even Warlock and Even Reno Warlock are favored against Quest Pirate Warrior.
  • Odd Quest Hunter has about a 50/50 match with the warrior deck at lower ranks, and becomes slightly favored over the Warrior at higher ranks.

Other than that, pretty much everything else struggles against Warrior.

That is from a month ago, but the recent changes really haven’t affected any of the decks in question, so that may still be fairly accurate.

Funny that when they “tuned” pirate warrior it was insignificant. They STILL get too much card draw (consistency is insane), too much DMG (they do not need quest to deal 30 dmg by T4 and By t6 or T7 for sure. Note that warrior is not suspectibe to dirty rat etc as win is not only by quest as is hunter which got nerfed
There are cards that are too cost effective. 3/3 for 3 mana and after hero attacks do 4 dmg each round (quest gives certain weapon)
This deck still needs punishment

Same time they shredded QuestHunter as Twin Shot is no unusable in odd deck. Well you can use non odd but it makes hunter alot slower

They shredded also Mozaki mage by addding 4 more cost. Now it is way slower

And yes they needed tune btu quest warrior needed more

-D

You’ve summoned Exodia Necross!!! 2 months later my dude, stop reviving the dead

Not much of a wild player, myself, but am currently on a winstreak of 5-0 with a quest hunter I threw together myself. Probably far from optimized, and, since I’m not much of a wild player, am way down at rank five in bronze, so quite likely to change at some point; that said, it doesn’t seem all that slow to me - they’ve all been within the last 40 minutes.

Get ahead on board or get ahead on life totals. If your deck is a slow strategy you are playing right into the strength of the deck.
