There was a flame animation that flickered like 8 times when I played the card too.
Yeah had this happen in a game as Mage I just played, played a First Flame and then a Pyroblast (setting up lethal for next turn) and the ring stayed as the First Flame. It even showed the transform animation when I played the Pyroblast but it still stayed as a First Flame. Definitely bugged.
