Pyroblast should have a 49,84% chance to critically hit for 200% dmg.
Or change the text of the Pyroblast.
Critically hits for 300% dmg. Base chance to critical hit = 0% when played for 10 mana. Chance to crit increased by 20% by every additional mana spent (max 100% at 15 mana)
The original version of pyroblast back in beta was meant to be 8 Mana but was nerfed to 10 Mana due to mage’s aggressive tool kit often creating scenarios were it finalized games to consistently.
With that said the aggressive mage decks aren’t even supported anymore at standard.
So it IS reasonable to revert pyroblast to it’s original form.
Less mana or more damage isn’t really the way to buff this.
Instead, it would be better if it did 10 damage to a random enemy minion (that’d be worse than the 3 mana Deadly Shot which basically does infinite damage and ignores DS) + 10 damage to the enemy hero, or something like that.
maybe he was wrong when comparing like that.
however, “pyroblast” is just too expensive.
It takes 2 mana and reduced 2 dame to keep only 1 slot (compared to using 2 fireballs). And remember that the current meta is getting faster and faster and the minions are getting stronger.
In my opinion, the price of 7 or 8 mana for pyro is reasonable.
