Pure Paladin is absolutely incredible

Currently at a 75% win rate over about 50 games.

I’ve played every expansion since Goblins & Gnomes and I’ve never felt like a deck was just indestructible, every loss I’ve had I’ve felt like I could have won.

I started out with Warrior and Ticklock but they just couldn’t keep up with the meta despite being super fun to play, Pure Paladin feels slow enough to still be a fun deck to play and make meaningful decisions but had enough tempo to steamroll aggro decks too.

If you haven’t tried it yet, I recommend giving it a go.

wild or standard? also what rank?

Standard. I’m on my second account with this deck and had to climb from Bronze 10. The Paladin climb was from the top end of plat to closing on legend in diamond now, I expect to hit Legend tonight, just ran out of time last night.

I haven’t tried it on my legend account yet but once this one is in legend I’ll let you know how it performs there.

Pure Paladin is an absolute blasty blast.

They finally nailed a midrange, beefy, buff-based Paladin deck that even packs some good healing and it doesn’t suck.

I might complain about Mage a fair bit, but Paladin and Shaman have some of the most properly flavorful good decks that I think I’ve ever played right now.

On that note, Shaman seems to be the only deck I’ll occasionally lose to, evolve specifically.

I couldn’t quite get my head around the Evolve Shaman myself for some reason, just wouldn’t click. I enjoyed trying it out though.

I actually dislike Evolve quite a bit. The Aggro build that’s based around attacking with your hero is super duper fun.

The third time I got a 10 mana 1/1 minion I stopped playing that deck for good.

at what rank? and what mode?

Standard Constructed. Ranks Diamond and Plat, almost legend, should hit tonight.

No thanks. Complete snoozefest. It’s time it got a nerf anyway, it’s been a thing for many months now

facts, I had a 80% winrate out of 20 games and went from d4 to legend in a couple hours. Was reluctant to try it as ive never really played paladin but decided why not. It’s the only deck that i had that could consistently crush DH.

Those are the only decks Paladin CAN complain about (well, Priest, too, but folks aren’t usually running into a lot of good control Priest decks).

Pally is good for the current meta because the current meta is trash… I mean DH.

I put together a just-for-fun mage deck that (so far) is 100% against every Paladin deck (in Standard - wild is ridiculous for Odd Paladin - 21 win streak yesterday - just crazy easy). Other than Paladin sucking to classes that can break low cost minion synergy and buffs; I don’t know what you could complain about for mages as a Paladin.

You misread my post. I complain about Mage getting shafted design-wise with horribly subpar synergy support and RNG jank, not from the perspective of facing them.

You are correct - my apologies - I did misread that!

What can you expect from an easy mode deck? All you have to do is put down a minion and buff it all game. Really skilled.

I agree that it’s nowhere near as fun as the new control decks but unfortunately they’re just not ladder viable and it’s much more fun than playing face hunter or DH

i find it odd pure paladin is doing so well since my 3 main decks have winning records against them. rez type priest, clown type druid, and quest rogue. i can see pure paladin smashing aggro and mages though

Probably because I never see Priest, Rogue or Druid on ladder. I lost one game to a druid that got clowns off but if you play a fast game against them you can kill them pretty fast. but like I said I may have played 3 druids in 50 games.

Actually I’ll check HSReplay…

4% Rogue, 2% Priest and 6% Druid games.

its weird i play a bunch of paladins im f2p so i expect the match making is rigged for me. its probably 25% paladins, 30% mage, 30% demon hunter with the rest filling in the other 25%

Remember, just because you’re playing a load of Paladins that doesnt mean the paladins you play are playing a load of druids.
