Psychic Scream was stronger that Repackage

just the Title, i think that old Psychic Scream was stronger
maybe the game also change, but giving all the Resources back feels bad

I agree. Make it 1 mana and shuffle the packaged cards into the priest’s deck.

It sure was
Because Psychic Scream was one of the strongest removals of the game.
I’m glad they didn’t create an even stronger one

yet, if psychic scream was in standard right now, i don’t think it would save priest. Priest is not in a good place right now, same as before rotation.

In fact, Priest hasn’t have a playable archetype since Festival of Legends. Maybe stop beating on a dead horse?

I mean, it’s basically the same card, so yeah… probably wouldn’t notice much of a difference.

Psychic scream was slightly stronger in the sense that you had to redraw the minions individually instead of paying 2 Mana to get them all back in hand after drawing, but in the immediate sense, they both clear the board.

Repackage has the strength advantage when your opponent’s hand is nearly full though, as they may end up just deleting a good chunk of the minions that were on board to reopen it, or will need to clear hand space. It also doesn’t protect your opponent from fatigue as much.

But still, repackage isn’t meaningfully weaker than psychic scream to the point of needing forum complaints posts.

Before this Paladin explosive expansion i play overheal priest, was fine. Took me 2 days to reach legend

Honestly was more of a post of, Its this true or i m insane, old removal stronger than new? i though the powercreep was real.
not to complain, its slow and i took it off my deck, not even close to good removal, at least not right now

Has natural fatigue been relevant recently at all? I think the last time the game still wasn’t decided before deck-out was like scholomance academy. Galakrond illucia priest mirrors, or highlander mage vs galk priest.

Dev team has done a lot to push for lethality in control decks.

Here and there it has, but Finley was a good tech for it.

There haven’t been any decks that just drive you to fatigue for a while (except the brief life of mill druid)

Overall, the differences between repackaging and psychic scream are super minor. I wouldn’t get too torn up over which one is technically stronger.
