Are coming to Blizzard titles, including Hearthstone! For anyone like myself who maintains an active Amazon Prime membership - and therfore has Twitch Prime - this means free stuff?
Since this seems to include a guaranteed, but random Legendary, I’d wait until Voyage launches next month to actually claim this. As of right now it’s just sitting in the inventory page for my Prime account (you can access this easily from the Twitch mobile app) so there’s no concern of accidentally triggering it just by logging in or anything.

I have Amazon prime. I have no idea why. I haven’t ordered anything in 2 years online and never watched a single show on the tv thing.
That reminds me. I should probably check all the subscriptions I have and cancel them all. I don’t use a single one but have all of them.
Thanks OP for reminding me to cancel all that junk.

Actually I did. I forget about that. I lied because I did watch that. I started the books in the 90’s and was really excited for the series. I watched it. I wasn’t impressed. I doubt I will bother with the second season
agreed it could have been better, legend of the seeker got cancelled for less than that

I don’t want to be “that” guy but I am definitely a book snob. The show is probably good for many people. It wasn’t thrones good but good.
When Rand was basically written as a side plot with no real meaning to the story while Nyn went super God-mode I was like, yeah not for me.
It’s about time they started this again. LoR has been using Prime Gaming for giveaways for quite some time now. Theirs are usually epic Wildcards, so Bliz must be doing Legendaries to catch up.
Maybe this is a sign of things to come.
They signed the YouTube streaming deal back in early 2020 for three years, meaning it should be over or coming to an end soon.
That deal was murder on HS.

Is Hs going to be hosted on Amazon Prime? Is Battle.net still going to host?
It’s still a Blizzard game, they’re just partnering with Prime to get free stuff that you can claim, like tons of other games do.
Have you at least picked up all the free games and extras off Twitch from a prime membership?
That interface is just the absolute worst to get players engaged with. Not to mention the advertising for events is basically nonexistent.
It’s just so terrible.
Hearthstone was doing quite well on Twitch. Activision just took the money to make up for the marketing loss on games like it.
I’m eager to see how things come around with Microsoft taking over. Their investment into niche projects like remastering Age of Empires shows that they’re plenty capable of thinking about more than just immediate profit at the expense of all else. I imagine they’ll take a more long-term look at valuable partnerships with companies like Amazon and the overall approach growing their products

this seems great if you already have Prime.
No. I don’t go on twitch. Truth is, this is the first I even heard of any of this.
It’s not that I don’t like free stuff, but I am uncomfortable linking accounts from different companies. This seems like a privacy nightmare.

Amazon owns the Amazon store, Amazon Prime, Twitch, and the Amazon AWS servers. (and a bunch of less known stuff)
Amazon AWS servers are used by many sites, many storefronts, many gaming companies, but also by Netflix for example. (yes Netflix that competes with Amazon Prime is hosted on Amazon servers)
Blizzard has their own servers, but it’s possible Blizzard will start to use Microsft’s servers in the future I guess, now that Activision/Blizzard was bought by Microsoft.
We walk around with phones that have GPS accurate to the meter, but linking a few online accounts is a bridge too far?
Believe it or not, I have no smartphone. I have one of those Nokia dumbphones.
I am not a Luddite, I have a fast PC. I just never saw the point of smartphones outside of making calls, which I can do with a dumbphone too.
As long as I can buy a ticket for my bus and train, I don’t need a smartphone.
