Went like 26-5 with zarimi priest. What a ridiculous deck. Everything still feels very scammy. 2 murmur shamans both with the combo on turn 6 and massive board. Lynessa paladin otk is back.
We just replaced a few scam decks with a few more. Lol

changed it to 8 played because summoned would been too fast and to easy to do

I have to assume youāre not playing standard or by some strange miracle havenāt ran into zarimi priest. Iāve been kiling people left and right as early as turn 7. Turn 9 is fairly common.
And the deck has a super strong early and mid game so itās not like aggro just beats you. In fact, Iām often able to out aggro egg hunter.
Itās like an aggro, mid range combo deck all rolled into one.
Probably the best deck in the meta.
Zarimi is very likely the next nerf target again

Zarimi priest is SO good. I lost to it once and picked it up right awY and its now my only class with like a 70% win rate on the stats.
This deck brings me back to life with d2 and cushion stars and the moment i switch decks its d5 no stars.
I dont want to bring light to it because then everyone will play it but it really is a fantastic deck.
I just somehow puke out low cost minions to āsurviveā until turn 8 and all the while those low cost minions are WINNING the game until the combo goes off.
I added the hunter 3/3 rush fish to combat warriors but i lose to warrior only/mostly. On mirror matches its funny that whoever has the first turn will win so if iām turn two with the coin i have to save the coin until 7 mana to stand a chance
Yup went from B5 to D4 real fast with almost no resistance
What deck has the best chance of beating Zarimi Priest and it also how does Zarimi deck matchup into imbue mage ?
Imbue Mage was actually my hardest matchup. If they Imbue fast and play Khadgar it makes it really hard to sustain a board before getting my Zarimi combo.
Khadgar is a nightmare to deal with so I would say play Imbue Protoss Mage and keep Khadgar in mulligan. By the time Iām ready to do my combo, Iām probably at 15 health and they already have a killer Colossus coming.
Bad for slow decks to do that, against aggro. People figured out even egg hunter still works.
They should nerf egg hunter again, itās too good.
Well Iām talking specifically about the Zarimi Priest matchup. I donāt know 100% certain if thatās the right move against that deck, just my small sample size Khadgar was way too impactful against me and I couldnāt get anything going.
When you can discount your dragons to 1 mana, its just a busted otk the turn zarimi comes down. Its insane.
Zarimi was annoying before, but you could manage the board enough where they had to take the extra turn to reload. Now they can play 30 mana worth of stuff alongside zarimi and you are just dead no matter what xD
Yea and this Shaladrassil nonsense with Lynessa is pretty dumb. 2 mana- deal 10 to all enemies is busted. Plus all the other utility and burst the corrupted ysera cards offer
Lynessa is one of the highest skill cap decks in the game. Have you played it?
Im not talking about the skill expression, im talking about lynessas effect. Sonya got canned for copying only 1 cost spells. Lynessa doubles any spell between 0-2. There is no consistency with their balancing.
Take āOh Manager!ā For example. Lynessa turns that card into- deal 4 damage and gain 2 mana. Its absurd how much it snowballs these cheap spells.
You should have seen the previous rotationās version. It would just OTK by round ~8 without using much of a board. I havenāt played the current version but I believe itās higher skilled because the cards are late(r)-game.

At least with the shaladrassil list it takes them some effort to get that ball rolling you are right

I donāt care how hard or easy something is to pull off, if I cannot interact with it before during and/or after, then itās not a healthy mechanic.
Making the baseline to poorly implemented or non-interactive combos be āJust play aggroā Is not a fun or healthy answer to this problem for the game. That basically makes the game turn into Aggro or combo decks and neither of those are fun for anyone playing against them.
