Priest quest, that's it?

Finally had a priest complete the quest against me (with Allura, which I thought was clever) and it was the shortest, least impressive animation ever.

Come on, Blizzard. At least add some flair to it.

Oh, cool, I haven’t seen it yet myself.

Oh yeah, big payoff, big insta win condition.

And it gives off less flair than a 10 cent sparkler and the opponent anticlimatically goes poof, no cinematic varian trumpets or call or anything like that. You figure for a company all about flashy entrances they’d drum it up. But hey. Shaman doesn’t even show you when it overloads itself 7-8+ mana with a perceptual flame. So even when you know it sticks into a 1 mana overload 3-7 like elemental destruction was, you have your head flip out at the 1 mana part while elemental destruction you always got a mad grin.

Honestly, if perceptual flame always had a static overload 2-3, brukan or not it might actually be a buff to the card in some situations if it just didn’t re overload each cast. One of the jokes about the 4 mana control deck meme is you’re literally playing lightning blooms and coins to play a 5 mana brukan on turn 9 and sometimes you just sit there with 4 mana on turn 9 and going.

“Gee. I wish i had a lightning bloom to play this 5 mana card on turn 9” and not even realizing how surreal it is, in a meta where everyone complains about turn 6+ not existing.

That you’re just unconsiously trying to look for a bloom that doesn’t even gain net crystals. Just shifts them around, Just because you’re 4 mana crystals on turn 9 looking for a bloom to play a 5 drop.

I think it’s kinda easy to miss how even subconsiously it’s gets thought of as a 1 mana clear, even when you spend the next turn with 0 mana trying to figure out why the 2nd cast still overloads you even when it doesn’t have a target. It’s just so good tempo and you usually survive that you don’t even notice overloading yourself to 2 mana on turn 10 for playing a single 8 overload flame. But man, is having the tempo of the turn before so amazing.

2 mana would probably be fair for it though.

But face hunter and aggro druid still do some crazy stuff, even if nobody complains about them, might be worth looking at how fair aoe priest/warrior purity control decks are like 35-40% winrate decks though.

I agree. Something which takes that much work should have a more impressive reward.

i mean… HS really needs to up its game in animations for the majority of stuff.
Seeing runeterra having amazing whole short videos for every single champion level up (and unique animations for a ton of their epic cards and spells) and then comparing it to HS animations is just sad.

Much like the DK Uther card and its instant win condition.

In terms of development work per animation played, it’s one of the most expensive ever.

when i saw it for the first time i realized wonchi was trying to as close to the card animation ingame as possible !for those who didnt watch it

wait, Allura has a purpose?!?!?

Not in paladin :frowning: but still better than nothing

This is LoR OTK animation (the second part is the actual OTK animation)

Still feels weak against the original rare, but very sastifying priest win condition not even turn 1 rogue otks could match.

The opponent conceding on mulligans. Truly, the most powerful class passive of all, even in wild with 2000 armor druids around.

Still worked more often then the quest ever did though. :stuck_out_tongue: GF 1600-3200 dust + support.
