It says Play Room is Druid/Hunter/Priest
Play Room has King Plush (Hunter), Copy Slime guy and an Airplane
I’m going to assume the Copy Slime guy is a Priest thing because copies (Arts and Crafts?) and then Druid gets an Airplane card that has to do with Dolls and Dollhouses?
I dunno, my speculation. The chart could tell us a lot though.

So carnivorous cube for priest? Fits with their current strategy of, “This deck you liked but in a different class”.

Oh, I was thinking more along the lines of this guy:

That would be pretty useless. So a good bet for a priest card, as well.

I mean, if it’s a Miniaturize and has battlecry Gain a copy of the last Deathrattle minion you played and summon a copy of this it wouldn’t be too shabby.
If whoevers in charge of priest design had thoughts like that, priest wouldn’t be in the position it is in now, tho.
So I’m guessing it’ll be more like 5 mana 3/3 minitiarize, summon a copy of a random minion your opponent has played this game
(the random makes it fun)

Ohh that’s neat to see
Warlock is tabletop games…Ooooo!
I guess it’s based on the green figurine? Hmm…
Assemble a band of adventures who the more we have out, the better perks? Maybe diving into Dungeons? To much DnD? Would’ve been a better Paladin theme. We got the Wheel of Death sooo… maybe Warlock will get a new location card for fun o.o.

Gotta be honest here. I’m a grown man. I’m down for silliness and levity… but, I would really prefer more serious expansions. I want my minions to be intimidating, and or interesting, not make my opponent go “awww”. I don’t want my win condition to be a stuffed animal.

What was the last expansion that was silly?
I thought the ETC expansion was lame.

Which of any images in the basement are supposed to represent death knight? They all feel like warrior or neutral to me.
It shows how they turned hearthstone into a parody of warcraft. I started playing during nathria and sure it was cartoony but still plenty of art was dark and/,or cool enough. Motlk was also very good. Then fol came followed by this. Wtf is this toy nonsense.

Remember when this game had grown-up artwork.
Now, everything is so circular.
MtG excels at artwork IMO. Its complexity and artwork make it feel like the grown-up’s CCG lol.

Yep.
Honestly you can tell of the downfall by looking at the two variations of Malygos.
It’s like the second version is the predecessor and the old one is the one that came after, by just judging the coolness between the two.
Everything is looking very cartoonish.
Old cards were paintings were now they are 50$ commissions.
Especially with the combo of ‘cartoonish expansion + newgen art’ it really shows the difference.

To be fair, Hearthstone has ALWAYS been “cartoonish”. Always. Because WoW is cartoonish. This is how tons of Blizzard games are. Overwatch, Warcraft, WoW, Starcraft, Heroes of the Storm. The only exception I can think of is Diablo.
Hearthstone “cartoon” look is part of why I enjoy Hearthstone over MTG. The “puffy” character and “cartoon” look is a bit more appealing than the “dark and gloomy” or “straight line sharp images” look that MTG looks. MTG goes for more real life art, Blizzard has never been that style.
I can’t hate on them for this expansion, I think it looks very much how you would expect. Sure, it’s “more cartoony” this time because it’s trying to be “cute”, but that’s always been a Blizzard thing as well.
Just look at WoW.
Classic cards can not be considered cartoonish in any way.
So I don’t believe that, take a look at Auchenai Soulpriest or Archmage Antonidas.
Everything is extremely pointy that if one didn’t know of Hearthstone, this art could be considered MTG applicable.
Even on our “scary” expansions like Castle Nathria there is no actual spookiness.
Cards like Denathrius don’t even have any sharpness to them.
I think the best way to describe it, is that Hearthstone used to be MTG art until it became its own thing. Whether one likes it or not is up to them.
Hearthstone definitely has not ‘always’ been cartoonish though.
Maybe I’m seeing the art differently (which is of course the case because we all see art different) but I see Auchenai Soulpriest and Archmage Antonidas as “cartoony”. They aren’t drawn in an art style where it tries to look realistic. To me, it’s purposefully fantasy-fiction and not fantasy-realism (if that makes any sense). Sorry, I’m terrible at explaining art.
This is how I define “cartoony”. The purposeful drawing of art to not look realistic.
But I can agree 100% that this expansion and previous expansions are “more” cartoony, especially this one, but that’s a lot to do with artists and themes. This one being a workshop of toys and gadgets makes total sense.
For example, you look at Archmage Antonidas and compare that art to Deckard Cain from Diablo and that’s the difference I’m talking about. Cartoony vs Realism
