Boom Wrench
4 mana, 3/2 weapon
Miniaturize
Deathrattle: Trigger the deathrattle of a random friendly mech.
Wreck’em and Deck’em
3 Mana, Spell
Choose a friendly mech. Summon a copy of it that attacks a random enemy, then dies.
The following cards were revealed by MarkMcKz on Youtube:
Safety Goggles
2 Mana, Spell
Gain 6 armor. Costs 0 if you don’t have any armor.
Lab Patron
4 Mana, 3/3
The first time you gain armor each turn, summon another lab patron.
Chemical Spill
5 Mana, Spell
Summon the highest cost minion from your hand, then deal 5 damage to it.
Botface (legendary)
9 Mana, 3/9 Mech
Taunt
After this takes damage, get two random minis.
(Minis can be the mini version of any card with miniaturize, regardless of class.)
Okay, how many archetypes does Warrior need? All we wanted was Control Warrior…
Now we have Enrage Warrior, Menagerie Warrior, BRnR Warrior, Taunt Warrior, Control Warrior, Brann Warrior, Mech Warrior? With some overlap between different archetypes. Of course there is rotation that will lose Enrage.
But like, what’s the point of all the slow Warrior strategies when one or two will just be the best…?
So right now Testing Dummy is the obvious target for the weapon and spell but you have to time the weapon such that you play Testing Dummy and then hit with the weapon, salvaging the lost tempo of the taunt. Weapon also curves into Fireworker from the earlier preview.
And only taunt minions, so you could only put a few taunts in your deck and get exactly what you want. This could include a Taelan Fordring which in turn finds something else specific.
Chemical Spill is making mech warrior’s oppressively expensive cards make more sense.
On second thought, Factory Assemblybot won’t get its mini, but maybe it’s fine if the only purpose is to prep Inventor Boom by turn 8. Botface is probably fine, since it will get a mini off of being summoned. This does work with any minion, so there’s probably some crazy combo that I’m not thinking of.
well the next cards seem pretty good.
I like safety goggles.
lab patron seems ok not overpowered though due to the once per turn so doubt it will see wild play.
umm chemical spill is neat and i will probably die to some ingenious combo of someone that i didn’t think of in the first days after the expansion releases.
botface seems cool. wonder how many minis there will be. oh well.
I guess they just had to throw all the eggs in the basket for deathrattle because they couldn’t dare make battlecry minions.
Reno in this meta has shown that deathrattle is quite garbage unless it’s a small mana cost one like mining rogue.
Don’t know how deathrattle warrior escapes the same problem here that priest couldn’t escape. Between Reno, the new Hunter Krush, Yogg, the excavate bounce and all the other anti deathrattle stuff that exists right now, good luck.
Is anyone truly excited for a mech tribal expansion especially with no Dr. Boom reprint?
Tribal decks especially have a history of being marginally supported as well. I guess chemical spill is supposed to make botface essentially 5 mana which makes it not too bad a card. The mech deathrattle synergy seems kind of meh to me as well.
Safety goggles is the start of your odyn otk combo and doesnt seem particularly well thought out given as such.
they printed a new different version of dr. boom he’s called mad inventor dr. boom and he resurrects 2 mechs of 5 or more mana cost that died this game for you and they immediately attack. seems like good stuff
i guess so, yeah.
maybe arcane intellect should cost 2 these days. then they’d have to change ancestral knowledge to 1 mana or something crazy like that though.
Turn 4 Crimson Expanse into turn 5 Chemical Spill Grommash Hellscream is a ton of damage early, plus with the Battleworn Faceless could kill very early.
Warrior can tutor the minions, but drawing the spells and location could be more difficult
Ice Fishing saw lots of play, Forge of Souls not so much. This is because you can draw 2 weapons but you can’t play both of them next turn or same turn because of weapon/attacking. Ice Fishing saw tons of play because of the targeted draw.
Targeted draw almost always sees play.
2 mana draw 2 targeted absolutely sees play. It really is nuts.
Consider cards like:
That’s worse tutor and saw tooooons of play.
This 2 mana draw 2 targeted taunt minions card will 100% see play. Without a shadow of a doubt. It’s ridiculously good.
This and Botface combo are really the best cards. The mini-cards are pretty dang good. 6 mana 4/8 with deal 8…I wish I had a card like that in Priest. I think that card sees a lot of play and is likely going to get complaints when it triggers and hits face 2 times.
Forge of souls was played in dead mans hand warrior. A deck that was mildly popular because of it’s difficulty to play but it certainly was a staple there
No need to guess…just read the post. it’s what most of those who can beat a captcha usually do.
No, especially since we already had at least one big one, and a couple mini themes in other ones that nearly made it a mech one because of how much they creeped into the larger meta.
