The rivers of tears (including mine) will flood this forum like few times before, I am pretty sure. This deck is disgusting.
The stealing life part will put so many people on berserk mode, im sure of it.
It’s good we got a deck, that can bypass armor based decks.
and in wild we are waiting for it to make hostage mages cry
Of course It will.
Just the fact that It Challenges people into playing different way is enough to “warrant a nerf for being unhealthy” in this game.
Not trying to defend but on a personal level i growing kinda sick of that atitude towards anything that isn’t slamming one minion per turn on the board.
Can we atleast have the metagame shape before name calling stuff?
Yeah we cant have a blood dk viable. Shame on any match that isnt over turn 5 or ended with 600 damage from hand.
Maybe it’s OP already, but it’s unlikely (or they’ll nerf it before anyone notices during Standard), since they rarely let a class annoy people for two patches in a row.
Well theoretically shaman deserved it more, but dk was also obnoxious to opponents.
I think the 6 drop is probably the only thing that’s especially pushed from what I can see so far. The other cards seem fine?
Yeah I think they overdid it with the 6-drop. It’s too easy to drop it on an empty board and/or add in an extra leech or two and from then you’re looking at 6-12 health you can’t gain back. The snake was at least a quest reward but this one feels like a bit much and there will be plenty of ways to play many.
It’s the deck I’m most scared about in the upcoming expansion. We’ll see how it does in the true meta but it looks nutty.
I predict Leech will make people lose their minds but it probably ends up around tier 3 in actual power.
The leeches have no attack damage (by default), so they appear bad against an opponent who is board-rich.
Also someone noticed the whole thing is weaker if you first kill the 6drop and not the leeches.
Basically it appears very manageable, if you can easily kill the 6drop and later the leeches.
I might not be seeing something but… I don’t see it. The leeches die to any aoe, anything on the board that has more than two life… I might be wrong and leech DK will be most OP deck in history but… colour me sceptic.
It is Just the whole blood DK hate team again.
I not like It either but the guys here are going on record time. They should let people atleast try the deck before screaming for nerfs like a toddler.
I didn’t actually call for nerfs. I actually think it’s a fun deck. I am just throwing a prediction that it will be complained about the most and probably nerfed in a week.
ftfy
There’s a whole bunch of cards that players do NOT have access to and even more that won’t be around at rotation. It is IMPOSSIBLE to say this mechanic is broken when we aren’t even playing with the collection of cards that accurate represents the meta.
I would also like to point out all the players that complained about this mechanic not having removal in their decks and basically playing 30 card decks with minions and buffs in them. That’s a TERRIBLE way to construct a deck.
I doubt it because of the 6drop weakness. Only 2 of it exist in the deck and there’s no Queen now to conjure it.
Basically target the 6drop (and not the leeches) and I believe that just ruins their win rate.
Obviously that needs a deck that can easily kill stuff of that sort, but it’s not hard to find.
Itll just be another slow control deck that people hate because between airlock + leeches it will have 60 health and play a bunch of board removal… But you have stuff like paladin which can generate infinite x+ drop dragons so unless it somehow comes up with a finisher (kiljaden probably) it’ll just be an average winrate deck that people use to waste other players time.
I don’t see leech dk as an issue. Mostly because leecher increase health for their hero, not itself. So it 's easy enough for board removal / board minion to remove them. 6 cost 3/5 with couple of 0/2, that deal 4 dmg and gain 4 health at the end of turn is not a big deal. It only could be a threat if the 6 cost get dark gift (-2 atk -2 cost, so it could be drop on turn 4 or summon 2/2 copy of itself which benefit the leechers), but any deck should have smth to play around it.
Sure it 'll make the game much longer, but it still board base interaction, and everyone have the time to deal with them.
The core synergy of it certainly looks like an “asteroid shaman” in the sense it’s relatively weak. But that also means there might be a “shudderblock” and “incindius” meaning something else that can propel it higher, which is why I’d say never say never but it doesn’t look great as is.
Whatever propels it will definitely have to do some spamming of the 6drop probably. I would not be surprised if a lot of reborn or resurrection is the secret here since it’s a DK.
