I’ve been having a lot of success against imp locks with evolve shaman. primordial wave is a great tool to turn puny imps into a board of tinyfins which then lose all the imp synergy obviously. aaavalanche ends the game most of the time on the turn it comes down. it’s a very strong deck for sure with some seemingly unfair tools but it has it’s bad matchups
Correct. So we should take your experience and think nothing of it considering you developed some unhealthy vendetta for an aggro deck that can be beat by pretty much every class in the game.
Is it strong? yes. It is a problem? Not anymore of a problem than cutelock, pirate warrior, pirate rogue, mech mage, murloc shaman, odd paladin, aggro druid during the height of their success.
Big beast go face, who’s worried about a bunch of little imps
Imp Lock shares a similar problem with the Damage Warrior I’m messing with.
If the minions don’t have rush they are either fodder for a board clear or they don’t stick long enough to meet their condition (“all damaged minions”)
In wild there are a ton of decks and classes that can handle any form of aggro. Priest and Warlock being two of them. I’m sure Shamans and Druids don’t have much of a problem defending from 1/1’s either. Or any class that has a weapon plus rush minions or any cheap to mid tier collateral damage spell.
And are we to disregard the stats showing this deck is overpowered?
Did this expansion not just come out? You are acting like its been out for weeks already.
So much for “Need More Data”…
How quickly you changed your mind.
I’m not sure that because the expansion is new, that it shouldn’t be looked at if a class becomes overpowered, overplayed, etc. After all, we want to have fun.
What deck are you playing?
So stop playing the imp deck to try and prove a point and play something else if you aren’t having fun.
I switch off between Mechathun, Reno, Even, ect. Judging from the other comments I’m not the only person that doesn’t have an issue beating imps.
I ask the deck because I believe you’re biased. How long does an expansion need to be out, for you, for balance to be looked at?
I’m biased? … lol
If your only argument is what deck are you playing than you need to step up your game.
If you think that’s my only argument, you should read the rest of the topic instead of blindly defending your deck.
I have 90% winrate against implock with mage. says enough.
Imp Lock is further proof they do not test cards and let the players do the testing for them. A typical cheap a** trash company. Also Nizidran your 90% winrate does not say crap. Keep being a sheep though.
Now you are assuming I play imp warlock because your argument is dying? Stop while you can.
When did this go from “Need More Data” to “Nerf It Now!”? Sure was a quick turn around.
I’m only relaying the stats. For how long does an expansion need to be out before we can look into balance, in your opinion?
Also, I think you’re misreading my tone here. I’m not angry. I’m not enthusiastic either. I’m honestly kind of blah at this point.
Sheeps are adorable animals.
Two to three weeks should give them enough time to decide if a deck needs an adjustment. Even then, it would only be a subtle change so I wouldnt get your hopes up that it will dissapear. If I were you I’d switch to one of many decks that can counter it or you’ll drive yourself crazy.
Remember when we thought pirate warrior was going to be nerfed right away? Best to not get your hopes up and learn to adapt.
No one should be forced to play a deck just to counter a deck that clearly should’ve never been released.
They really need to at least add a cost to activating the Locations. Some of the effects are powerful enough that they really do need a cost. I know there is a counter card to locations but 1) you have to draw it and 2) it is otherwise completely useless. I doubt many of us are running them in our decks. I played half a dozen games as imp warlock earlier and didn’t come close to losing any of them. I could just keep spewing out imps and keeping my opponent busy. If they failed to get rid of my board I’d just slam down a Shady Bartender and close the game. Denathrius is also there just to close things out…it almost seems unfair how aggressive and punishing the deck is. Priests can counter it to some degree, but how many spell cards are they going to devote to board clears that don’t put anything out on their side of the board on the same turn? In the end I just got bored of it and switched to something else.
