Possible pay board coming hearthstone

Probably. But I think if they lose the base, then they lose the product. Maybe they can make something else in it’s place that follows the model they are chasing, but this game is over, I think.

Other reason to Just do it.

If it is over anyway they’re only losing a few Bucks.

Well, I have no problems with pay boards.
I will have a problem with P2W features like augmented HP’s.

And let’s be clear: This game is making plenty of profit.
The problem lies with greedy investors who see what others are doing, and covet that money as well.
I really hate what Capitalism has devolved into.

Not really.

Hearthstone is losing profitability and gaining more and more players lately.
Yesterday for example there was even some dificult to log in.

The point really is that no one pay a dime for hearthstone.IDK what they done but they pissed the whales really hard.

So they better discover it.

Because they cut manpower to decrease outlay

I had not heard this, but I should not be surprised. They refuse to improve the game, and their idea of innovation is to power creep their pet classes, while letting the others atrophy.

For me, it was the removal of classic and duels. I admit that I didn’t play classic very much, and I know it was overrun with bots, but I liked the idea that it was there, and I played it occasionally with my full classic collection. The removal of the mode made that whole collection feel kinda worthless.

I know duels wasn’t “profitable” in that not enough people bought tickets for heroic, but I’m sure people bought packs mostly to play duels. It’s really impossible to tell how many people that actually was. I enjoyed playing it pretty frequently.

Removal of game modes makes the card collection feel less valuable even if the cards can be used in other modes, and it makes it seem like the game is fading away. Both of these things make players feel less like spending money, especially long-term players with large collections

New HP’s is probably not in the cards but i would seriously expect a new set of hero cards for standard soon.

I’m already board with HS for free.

MS now owns the most profitable Mobile game on the market ever. They acquired Blizzard in order to get that game under the guise of all in to get CoD, which admittedly is a major IP to get ahold of.

Yes, 525 million in 2 years in the mobile market is low but they weren’t all in on the full monetization scheme yet. They still had a shred of decency before Diablo Immortal. It showed them what was possible with their existing IP’s if they converted them to mobile for the fraction of the development cost the big AAA game cost. IE: Bobby saw more big dollars. Just to add to the piles he was already getting form their mobile division not using their existing IP’s.

Quick buck mobile games can make you rich fast but the ones that stay are the ones that generate the greatest revenue and keep you rich funding other projects.

Did you open the Diablo Immortal client???
I did that abomination had every conceivable scheme and currency shoved in.

Genshin and Star Rail that are the top grossing gachas right now dont even have half the nonsense on their games Diablo Immortal had on launch.
Netease has always been a special kind of scum money grabbing thieves but they out did themselves on that game.

It wasnt easy given who predatory the rest of the market is but oh boy did Blizzard pick well.
Lucky enough the interest for that game in terms of whales died out.

Oh yeah i was referring to a time before Diablo Immortal. Once they put out that game all bets were off. They went further than any other Mobile game at that point i think was the opinion from reviewers.

Netease has the luxury of being in the largest mobile market and the blessing of the government to be as scummy as possible. :frowning:
