Possible combos for the Mercenary Mode

Heyho! I really want to play the Mercenary Mode and I have already a good combo, in my opinion, but dunno what’s the best combo for my plan.

I really want to play with Lord Jaraxxus and Gul’dan.

Both are good Fel Casters and have good synergies with Fel Abilities and Demons.
For my third Mercenary I can’t choose between Blademaster Samuro or Rathorian.

Rathorian is a Demon, can summon a Demon Token and has some Fel Abilities and Gul’dan can cast his Rain of Destruction Ability multiple times, if you cast Fel Abilities before this turn. Same as Lord Jaraxxus, he can cast multiple Fist of Jaraxxus for each other Demon on your field.

Samuro is a Orc and can summon, with his Equipment, 2 Copies of himself, which died at the end of the turn, which are also orcs.
Gul’dan has a Equipment, which gives Gul’dan for each Orc, whos die, + Fel damage. So Gul’dan will get + Fel Damage, if the Copies of Samuro die.

Jaraxxus can spawn Infernal, which are Demons and has + Fel Damage too.
Jaraxxus has a Equipment, which buffs the + Fel Damage for his Infernals too.

Blademaster Samuro has only synergy with Gul’dan, but not with Jaraxxus.
Rathorian will have synergies with both heroes, Gul’dan and Jaraxxus.

So, now that’s my problem: What is better, in your opinion?
Your Abilites cast multiple times, bec of more Demons and Fel Abilities, or your Spells hits way more harder, bec. your + Fel Damage is on steroid?

I think that the actual answer is likely to be: both, plus two more you haven’t found yet.

Each Mercenary team can have up to six members, three of which can be on the board at any time. When one of your Mercs dies, you substitute in one from your bench. So, I can’t imagine that running only three mercenaries is going to be the best way to go in PvP, when your opponent can just sub in more mercs if your three overwhelm their first three.

What that likely means is that you’ll need a full set of six for your team. The four you mention here seem like a good start, but you need two more to fill out a roster.

And as for choosing which three should be your starting line-up, that is probably going to depend on what other players start running as their preferred line-ups. Each of your options is likely to be better against some opposing teams and worse against others.

Thank you for your answer!

Yeah, you’re right, I forgot that, lol.
But it’s pretty hard to find a perfect combo for that. Only 51 Mercenaries are not much.

And I don’t think, its a good idea to have 3 Spellcasters or 3 Protector or something. ^^

Most of the specific combos are likely to be only a part of your strategy. For example, I was looking at the Frost-centric Mercs, and there are only three as far as I could see: Lich King, Jaina and Varden. So, any team built around them would need to branch out into something else to reach a full roster, at least at launch.

We’ll probably need to look to build around multiple cross-synergies in creating teams, so that as individual mercenaries get subbed in during a fight you’ll have options that help as many combinations of three out of your total six to work well together.

It will probably take a number of additions to the mercenaries before you’ll be able to begin thinking about creating a truly single-school or single-type lineup.

Yeah, I wanted to create a Demon/Fel Mercenary group. xD

And most of them can summon some Tokens, like Jaraxxus, Rathorian and Tamsin.
But I’m very excited to see what the future will bring.

But dunno… I still don’t know, which abilities the Tokens will have… on outofcards the Rank 1 Infernal from Jaraxxus has 4/4 and +1 Fel Damage.
But how can he attack without Abilites? Or some Tokens has Rush. How work’s Rush in Mercenary?

i would imagine spawned tokens with Rush attack immediately
