Portals should be locations instead

As title, so it can be destroyed by a tech card instead of being invincible. Also balances the game.

Note: a card that creates a permenant effect without paying any further and has no counter is the definition of non-interactiveness.

Also, win conditions should not win the game.

but infinite is bad right?

weak infinite but still one. 2 taunts can be unfun to some players, like weapon rogues, and hunters.

Imp portals are easy to deal with late game.

Depends on your deck. If you’re aggro and the lock landed his sargeras, you’re probably too out of gas to handle the stream of imps. If control, you’re fine for a long time, but the constant pressure means you don’t get to take weak turns anymore. If you’re otk, lmao who cares about sarg?

A win condition killing you faster is somehow more tolerable?

well by the time sargeras is usually played if an aggro deck didnt win yet the chances of it are really low with or without sargeras

If you’re aggro game is most likely over before turn 6 or else you lost lol.

With symphony, it can be out really quick. But the main point is that the portal should not be invincible. It is non-interactive.

same as

hely ,odyin , mograin .goru , dr boom hero card and topior effects

they just dont spawn something on the board

i dont think you really care about balance because you singled out sargeras out of all the permament effects in the game

Hely: steam cleaner, if there’s no cleaner, this will be OP for sure.
Odyn: You have to play cards or use hero power to trigger its permanent effect.
Goru: You have to play treants for it to get +1/+1
Dr. Boom is in wild, and I won’t discuss that, but this is close to what I’m describing.

Portal: You have to do NOTHING after its presence, and there is no counter, so it is non-interactive.

Don’t worry, this card will be balanced. I don’t really need to target this card for it to get the bat. It’s obvious.

Actually I don’t care which card, but rather, a permanent effect with no further price to pay nor counter is not acceptable. If Blizzard make this change earlier, maybe the card won’t get killed.

no idea how can you be so sure

people kept predicting tickatus nerf for 2 years and it rotated out unchanged

aabout helya i think you are forgeting helya effect applies to any plague you shuffle after steamcleaner too

The card will be fine. Its a 9 mana titan. Hopefully we won’t have to listen to your whining until it rotates out.

I can keep going on forever, but Tikatus does not have that permanent, untouchable effect. It is not even on the same scale as the Titan card on its own (its problem comes from interaction with other cards, namly duplication). I’m not here to focus on how strong a card is, but rather if it’s interactive. If you want to argue that removing 5 cards with one is non-interactive, sure. But it does not provide infinite value.

Yes, sure you can shuffle additional plagues into your opponents deck, but you have to pay a price for it. And you can have 2 steam cleaners as well. This does not totally contradict my description. But still your point on this is valid, if there are way more plague cards (vs. 2 steam cleaners) this can get out of control quite easily.

They won’t touch it in this expansion, they will do it in the next one. They want you to buy, have some fun, and hit you in the face so you can buy more. You can bookmark this post and see if this happens as I described.

I didn’t realize Sargeras was untouchable lol. If you can’t clear two 3/4’s after turn 9 you should just concede because at that point you should probably revaluate your deck.

If you build a late game deck you should have answers for late game problems. Or else stick to aggro.

Ehhh, fair point. None of the titans will get any nerfs during this xpac.

Still not gonna see sargeras nerfed directly. Our only potential issue is scamming sarg out early with symphony.

That’s literally the only issue. Its actually a perfectly fair minion by today’s standards for 9 god damn mana.

I do think it’s interesting that if they had done the Tians like Planes Walkers in MTG and made them a new type of card we wouldn’t have to worry about the Symphony high roll. It could have been as simple as just putting the tribe “Astral” or even “Titan” on them. Then have them dormant when they enter play but the owner is able to activate them. Once their abilities are used they leave the game. No more copying or stealing effects either.

That sounds too good but trading a space on the board for that is a big deal. Obviously the effects would need adjusting but their concept should have been designed first. Instead they went the lazy route.

I think Blizzard copied something good this time though? At least the big direction is correct. It would be better if they fine tuned it. I am not sure about the direction, but maybe giving it a new card type and adding a tradable tech card against it would be better.

If we balanced cards on this basis, there wouldn’t be any cards left.

Wrote that post sarcastically.

Still salty for all the shaman nerfs recently.

I just cold or sylv the titans anyways.
