I had the daily event quest “Summon 10 Poisonous minions in Hearthstone.” I played a deck full of poisonous minions in Casual Hearthstone and again in a friendly Hearthstone match but neither game counted toward this quest. Other quests advanced as normal. I rerolled it to another daily, “Draw 30 cards,” and was able to complete that one in a few friendly Hearthstone matches.

Similar issues also happened to me when I played poisonous zombeasts.
I had a similar problem. I could not progress the quest “Summon or Destroy 10 Poisonous minions in Hearthstone” in Casual mode. I was able to progress it in Ranked. I wish it was more clear what was meant by “in Hearthstone”.
