If you’re going to associate a new quest with the Brawl, either announce it (and I mean specifically, not just “one of these days there’s going to be a quest”) or make it so that it doesn’t overwrite one of your current quests if you have three waiting.
I was planning to use the brawl to finish one of my quests and now “poof!” gone!
Perhaps they could just have a pop-up that lets you choose which quest to abandon should you have 3 already instead of choosing for you? And yes, some advanced warning would be nice. Sucks that happened to you.

Today I thought “I just need 20 more face dmg before I finish it, I’ll just do it during Brawl: I don’t want to accidentally finish a second quest before I can try to re-roll it tomorrow”

It’s not finishing the “3 Brawls” quest that bothers me. It’s the fact that it deleted one of my existing quests without any forewarning. If I had known, I would hae made sure to clear a slot before now.
It’s especially galling since I have seen promo quests take up a temporary “fourth quest slot” before.
Seems this is how it should always function. Leave the 3 daily slots alone and have a 4th slot hidden for when promos are running.

Precisely. My normal daily quest got overwritten because I didn’t even know that we are getting a special quest.
And why the heck was there no fourth quest slot showing that there is a special quest in queue like it was the last time?

Yep. I normally don’t stack my quests up to three, but these last few days I didn’t feel like playing and was busy at work, so let it slip. Was totally surprised to find an Event quest overwrote one of my quests.

Rather than code in all those new features, they could just autocomplete the quest if it bumps one.
I suppose then you’d have people complaining about not getting a “free quest”…
I have complained about this quest slot and event quest couple of time but there is no response from Team 5. I guess they don’t have technology for such a complicated thing, and their solutuon is to give us the option to reroll this event quest instead so we can get our “precious” daily quest.

That capability was removed – it was a coding error (unfortunately) that was changed.
Clearly the fix everyone was clamouring for. Glad to see they made addressing it a priority!
Now you know to always keep 2 quest slots open as they often pull this forced quest shenanigans every time something new comes along. They do it for every expansion and if I remember correctly every time they release new single player content for the last few years. They did announce a release date for the new single player content you should have been prepared for a forced quest happening soon.
