What is the point of making an APM tribe (pirates) and then making it completely unplayable if you think you highrolled 3 golden drust’s YOU LITERLLY CANT EVEN BUY MORE THAN A SHOP OF PIRATES WITHOUT SPENDING 40 SECONDS ON ANIMATIONS, its not even like old demons where the animations took so long but at least there was a pay off, YOU ARE LITERALLY WEAKER THAN 80% of any other comp, even if you made the animations quicker it would still be balanced. Keep cool animations with low APM tribes. Why psychologically punish people for playing the APM-oriented tribes? I will never understand.
Not to speak about the fact that pirates don’t scale up on gold as much as in old patches.
So, getting gold is useless past mid-game. While in late-game getting even more gold from bounties is possible, that one can spend for literally nothing other than buying more pirates and sell them for more gold to get spells (if scaled). But, refreshing takes an eternity, so ending a turn with 50+ gold and 10 minions in hand after doing lag/freeze-limited 30APM (at most) is the most useless trait in battlegrounds.
Apm shouldnt exist in bgs to begin with.
So how would you suggest that scaling happens?
That it doesn’t. Apm shouldn’t be used as a tool to get an advantage over other players. That tool locks out a lot of players without the equipment to properly run apm and, as you said, it causes timing issues. It shouldn’t exist in the first place.
That would basically end BG’s as we know it. there would be no way to leverage building an economy to run APM builds. You would basically be playing tempostone in BG’s all the time. APM as it is perfectly fine and is just a skill you need to learn.
Naw, apm isn’t a legitimate playstyle when only a handful of people can do it. Whether their inability comes from the lack of skill or a lack of good equipment. Which is the whole point. If something gives an advantage of over people in the lobby just by being there then it doesn’t belong.
Well it appears the designers disagree with you because we now have the next seasons spoiler for BG’s and APM is going to be a big part of it for several builds. It’s just a part of the game and it’s not going to go away.
I mean you could go play TFT (Which BTW just had one of the best season updates ever) but there’s APM in that auto battler as well.
do you think most BG players are geriatric or something
the equipment to properly run APM is your hands, use them
Your hands…… and your skills….and a computer that can run apm….
Subject: Long animations in the game turn the gameplay into a stressful experience (on Redmi Note 8 Pro, MIUI 12.5.8)
Hello, Support Team!
I’d like to start by saying that I really enjoy your game — the mechanics, design, atmosphere and the “Battlegrounds” mode bring me genuine pleasure. However, due to one serious issue, I’ve almost stopped playing: long animations on my device (Redmi Note 8 Pro) cause a lot of stress and take away the joy of the experience.
Details of the issue:
-
Device: Redmi Note 8 Pro.
-
MIUI version: 12.5.8 (stable, 12.5.8.0(RGGMIXM)).
-
Android version: 11 (RP1A.200720.011).
-
Security update: 01.04.2022.
-
Free storage: 88.5 GB (out of 128 GB) — sufficient resources.
-
Connection type: Wi‑Fi (stable internet connection; the issue is not related to the network).
The core of the problem: animation duration critically interferes with the gameplay:
-
Merging triplets takes several seconds — this eats up precious time during the recruitment phase (30 seconds).
-
The reward animation for a triplet (new card appearance) starts with a delay.
-
The magnetism animation when combining mechanisms adds extra waiting time.
-
Battle animations during the combat phase extend the turn and reduce time for the next recruitment phase.
How this affects me:
-
Instead of enjoyment, I feel stress and frustration due to forced waiting.
-
Rushing leads to mistakes in placing units on the board (which is critical for strategy).
-
I don’t have enough time to analyze the opponent’s board and plan my next move.
-
As a result, I put the game aside — even though I really want to play it.
I kindly ask you to consider the following solutions:
-
Optimize animation durations (without losing visual clarity).
-
Add a “Skip animations” option for triplet effects, magnetism, etc.
-
Implement an animation speed setting (levels: 1×, 1.5×, 2×).
-
Increase the time limit for the recruitment phase by 10–20 seconds to compensate for delays caused by animations.
-
Improve the card dragging interface (add visual hints for optimal unit placement).
Purpose of this request: I truly love this game and want to keep playing, but current animations turn the experience into a stress test rather than entertainment. I ask you to focus on optimization for mobile devices — this will make the game more accessible and enjoyable for a wider range of players.
I really hope for your help. Thank you in advance for your attention!
Best regards,

Hi guys,
Please make the animation quicker. I’ve lost battles while waiting for the animation to process on the battlegrounds. I don’t need this feature. I end up watching the animation for 10–15 seconds and can’t even spend gold because I’m blocked until it finishes playing. What’s going on? Or please add an option to turn this animation off.
In the mean time, you can close the app and reopen it to skip the combat animation entirely and go on to your next turn.
