It’s like the purpose of the deck is to force you to sit in front of your computer screen and waste time while NOTHING happens.
I have to admit I failed at deck building and went way too defensive, so I had a hard time playing something as well. Oh well, Control vs. Control. Mage btw.
I don’t have an issue with Control Warrior. I lived through Patron, Pirate, Quest, Taunt, Dragon, The Damage Minions to buff/gain armor warrior, Dead Mans Hand, control warrior variants and most recently, Bomb Warrior. I’m pretty much immune to Warriors.
Honestly, I know that T3 is Warpath, T5 is Brawl, and T7 is Dr. Boom. Clear the Elekk ASAP, and you should have an easier time. Also, playing too passively hurts you in the long run. You want to be aggressive because that armor stack does not get smaller.
Summoner Mage is actually what I crush them with. The Dragon Package is one of the better ones for doing it, but I’ve also got a Kibler-inspired list that’s a lot more consistent against the aggressive decks out there while still retaining sizeable teeth VS Control.
You often encounter Warriors using a single cast of Warpath?
No, but I know that anytime after T3, it is coming. I note the mana cost and assume its happening every turn from that point on: its safer and easier for me to remember.
Ironically enough, a hard-earned lesson brought to you by…
Jaina Proudmoore!
Just because they don’t play Blizzard/Flamestrike on T6/7 does not mean they do not have it! Remember kids, just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean its not there.
I was Exodia Maged on Wild ladder (R13) but I find myself laughing at these things a little more often. I was salty when it happened so I took a break and now I just crack jokes because…
Out of all the classic packs I’ve opened, Tony is nowhere to be found!
But once I get him, I am Exodia Maging my heart out because I’ve been burned so many times. It is the circle of life, my friend. My time will come.
Yes, pure control decks focus on attrition which tends to take time to have as a win condition.
Your idea of fun does not come before my idea of fun (or visa+versa). So, as long as the strategies are not breaking the game you’ll just need to concede or learn to tolerate longer games.
imagine people complaining about control warrior in 2019. Loses to token druid, mech hunter, big mage, tempo rogue, and literally all the other decks on ladder.
