You guys I over draw every turn from turn 3 on with this weapon! It’s not a valid card and needs to be banned from the legendary picks. It is not helpful and ruins the entire passive! The weapon needs to lose durability or something! It’s a 0/3 weapon that has no attack so you can’t stop it! This is not right! This can’t be what y’all had in mind! Or is this just to prevent the passive from being picked by non weapon buff decks? It has great other weapons but I’ve gotten it twice and it was so bad it gave me ptsd my next game i kept panicking thinking ohh no I need to spend mana or my cards will burn!
Then don’t pick it? That weapon was a staple in several quick-burn mage decks where they drew cheap spells to empty their hand again, and drew their win condition faster. If it doesn’t fit in the deck, don’t pick it.
Yeah but the other weapons do so it’s sad. Ruins the whole passive
High risk, high reward. Isn’t that kind of what Duels is all about?
Each of those weapons is incredibly helpful in various situations. A spell flinger Priest for example would probably love to draw an additional 3 cards every turn. A weapon specialist rogue would probably love to start with the Druid’s legendary weapon since they could break it on turn 1 and start off the match with 10 mana. The Skull of Man’ari is worthless to most classes, but Warlocks and Demon Hunter’s will likely get a lot of value out of it.
There are 9 legendary weapons so your chances of pulling Aluneth are relatively low (0.12%). So naturally if it’s going to hurt your deck you should probably expect to get it roughly every other match. (I’m pretty sure that’s how random chance works right)? If that’s going to be a big problem in the deck that you drafted then you should probably shy away from that passive.
If however you do decide that the reward is still worth the risk then may I suggest trying to pick up weapon treasures such as Blade of Quel’delar or greedy pickaxe. That way your deck at least has some way of breaking the weapon if you happen to roll a bad one.
Good luck in your next run!
