Others may disagree? But I say the card is flatly cheating, and I am sick of it. If it gave you one random card from the opponents’ hand it would be good enough.
I thought you disliked random. Theotar is a fine card and just because it annoyed you in a recent game doesn’t mean it needs banning.
I’m not annoyed from a recent game. I’m annoyed from a pile of games in a row.
If it worked like Dirty Rat it would be fair.
Instead it gives your opponent way too much agency over your hand and win con.
But thanks for the input.
I get it you want feels based card nerfs.
have a great morning. #ignored
Have a great morning too complaining about cards that aren’t overpowered.
Someone may or may not have had his win condition taken from him just moments before the post was made.
several times, actually:)
Theotar is protecting us from much worse things right now,
And it’s already getting outdated for some combos like Druid Dorian’s charge, where he’s 1 or 2 turns late…
To get to legend this season i had to play aggro call to arms pally with the new clumsy steward and the pirate who increases the cost of cards by 2, to humiliate those guys…
Well then, Dorian should be dealt with too. It astounds me how: “wild is wild”. except…
Wild is wild is only for druids, mages are not allowed to do anything
I just dislike anything that gives you so much knowledge of your opponents hand. I disliked Theo in Standard as well.
But I am an old Poker player, so it’s probably not surprising I dislike things like this.
I dislike thief Rogue and Priest for the same reasons.
If you are given a single card from your opponent by chance, then that seems ok. (And yes, I dislike playing random, and I wouldn’t play it either.) But to be able to see three cards, and then choose is way too far.
This would never be allowed in any Casino card game.
And to the Dorian defense?
If you have to use cheat cards to win, then perhaps it’s time for Team 5 to admit the game has gone too far?
Man mages are so hated; that it should be banned from existing. Whenever Mage get an actual good card; It gets nerfed to the ground
Traditions are important and must be uphold, the pyre is built and cant be left to waste.
I guess Theotar tries to break some 1-card winning decks essentially.
That’s why if you already know your deck is based on 1 card to win, focusing on the moment you get that card seems essential.
There is some randomness as well in the card, so if you have 9 cards in hand, the chances are more reduced to lose that card.
I know it’s subjective, but from my perspective, it’s an ok card.
Complaining about a six cost Theo is pretty lame.
It was absolutely bonkers before it was nerfed twice, but it’s fine at six mana.
Build better decks.
You should be embarrassed for making this thread.
Giving him a hard nerding? The card does seem a bit fluffy.
