Does shuffling a card into a deck change the outcome of the previous turn’s dredge? This is what happened: Player A dredged a card then ended turn. Player B on the next turn shuffled a plague into player A’s deck. Next turn player A did not draw card they dredged. In fact they didn’t draw it for about 9 turns.
Yes. If a card is shuffled into the deck then the entire deck is shuffled. This counters the effect of dredging so to speak.

By definition, shuffling a card in a deck shuffles the entire deck.
This is why some cards don’t read “shuffle” but simply “put” a card in the deck.
However this is highly misstranslated in various languages and “shuffle” is translated as “put”
