Pirate warrior quest needs nerf

Too much synergy with an easily completed quest. It’s at least due for the quest rewards being nerfed or increasing the number of pirates needed per leg of quest

Call this BS a quest is an offense for all quests in existence, this nonsense barely can be called a small task.

A correct name is Infinite Value for sure and for nothing.

The activation count on Raid The Docks needs to go up. 3/3/3 still seems fairest to me, though I’d accept 2/3/3.

I’ll give Pirate Warrior Ancharr a turn earlier in exchange for making it reasonably harder not to bomb my face and get Cap’n Rokara/Juggernaut all within one turn after that.

It’s not impossible to beat The Juggernaut (at least in Wild where I play) - I’ve done it twice in the last two days - but right now I feel like it’s too easy to get the last two rewards, which are substantial, and as a result it feels nearly impossible to beat Pirate Warrior when it draws its godhand in any format.

I believe the issue is infinite value. Moreover, the pool of pirates Juggernaut can summon is pretty good, especially when that includes Mr. Smite. This reward disrupts the balance of {combo > control > aggro > combo} because the infinite value outvalues control decks – the archetype meant to be its counter.

Seeing as this is not likely to change, at the least increasing the requirements of the questline seems reasonable. This would also slightly help Wild.

(I know I’ve said otherwise before in defense of Quest Warrior. My mind has changed in hopes that the meta opens up to allow room for slower decks.)

The Juggernaut is way worse in Wild as the pool of potential weapon/pirate summons is a lot wider, and a lot of them are esoteric and not particularly value superstars. In Wild, the Jugg itself almost feels balanced and beatable.

Still, in Wild a lot of pirate decks can activate the Quest itself nearly entirely on-curve with stuff like Bloodsail Flybooter, and the entirely on-curve quest sequence doesn’t feel balanced at all. I think it does need a nerf.
