Really?
How exactly is roping into opponent’s lethal winning you games?

No one said rope burning to lose games is helpful. The topic in discussion here is - why do players do rope burn. This obviously means playing your best moves, while also rope burning. And if that rope burning player loses, at least he knows he has tried his best in applying his card skills and psychological warfare.
And yet, just to prove your point - I rope burn and won 3 games today, matches that I was supposed to lose (yet I won because they were impatient). I hope this helps to elaborate on the purpose of intentional delay.
As they say, hate the game rules, not the game players.
Wow!
3 people felt you were wasting their time and decided to concede. And that made you feel good about yourself? Very pathetic.
No one said it made me feel good about it. I am just saying this is allowed by Blizzard and people do practice it with no emotions attached.
If this permissible play style makes you angry, then you are being emotional. In that case, try to bring it up to Blizzard for permitting it, instead of being upset about it.
There is certainly no point in telling anyone else that this play style is permitted by Blizzard yet it upsets you. So tell Blizzard instead.
That’s all.
End of story.
And as we are talking, I am:
I must say I am pretty impressed by my ability to multi-task (and that may make me feel good about myself, like you said )
Update: I won by skill! Glad I could multi task and slot a game in between my busy schedule
Thank you for the advice on ranked.
I agree and it is irritating to me as well AND even worse yet when there sitting on one card. But I have come to the conclusion is not a matter of thinking of what card to play but an attempt to run up the game clock for EXP. In either case if I’m playing with a procrastinator I’m likely to just quit and move on to the next match damned be my rank.
Your rope burning truly reveals the vast magnitude of your skill.
Or the fact that Blizzard just doesn’t care enough to make the game better for players by addressing this chronic issue.
Just accept that this game is full of this low skill and unintelligent people.

I regard myself as a pretty slow player, so this thread feels aimed at me. For that reason I’ll respond.
First of all, I am fairly new to the game. I played for a little while a few years ago, but never learned. Now I am working hard to learn.
My learning has come one class at a time. My first good deck was a Rogue class. After about two weeks of playing an hour or two per day, I had begun to feel comfortable with the hero and the cards in my deck.
Soon I realized I had enough cards to build a workable Shaman deck. I started playing Shaman. Until I had spent some time playing it, I was considerably slower during each turn than I had become with my Rogue Deck.
Playing hastily does not seem like a strategy well-designed for learning. I hadn’t even noticed that I’d become faster with my Rogue turns until I was faced with all new decisions to make with my Shaman.
I understand why some people want to propose a correlation between “roping” and a lack of intelligence. However, they are wrong to do so. Haste is no greater intellectual virtue than deliberation, and either is dangerous in the hands of a fool.
I have been greatly enjoying this game. At this point I still do not have a worthwhile Mage, Paladin, or Priest deck to play, so look for me wasting your time with those hero classes at some point in the future.
Meanwhile, some advice: if your opponent is taking more time than you wish, just fire up your TikTok and multitask. Surely their slow pace is evidence enough of how easily you will win, so why pay attention? (Snarky enough?)
My only point is that not everyone playing slowly is breathing through his mouth. I also accept the points being made here that most people appreciate it if I play as quickly as I am able.
i have found a new best friend for you
