So if you don’t get mega bundle, you have to spend ANOTHE 2k gold to get it, on top of 2k gold for the mini set that will be obviously coming later on?
HS just got more expensive.
yeah. i wont be buying the cards as i play mage, but raising the price to play is clearly the endgame.
not to mention that having yet another class - dilutes your pack opening chances. Every time I open packs and get epic DH cards I growl - I hate the thing, what a waste - I never played it and never will.
Well… it’s another mini-set on top of 3 big expansions and 3 mini-sets.
The game is absurdly expensive for the average person installing it. Thus playerbase drop.
+frustrating gameplay patterns
It sure beats opening x other packages to collect them. Since DK comes with 3 different specs, it seems neccessary to provide a bigger bedrock as they did with DH. As the (for now?) only class with three distinct specs DK should be more flexible than others, which might be a plus.
And those who don’t want to play it will only open some of the 10 regular cards in MotLK packs, not from an enlarged class pool as with the DH release.
The cards will also be craftable, so if there are only a couple you want then you might avoid buying it and just crafting the few you need
I’ve played DH more than Hunter, so things have remained mostly the same for me.
…we can get it with gold where is the paywall? whats your defintion of paywall?
because its 2k gold ON TOP of all previous expenses. If you can’t earn that EXTRA 2k gold - thats a paywall
Technically speaking a paywall is something only accessible if you spend money, which this is not, because you can buy it in gold. Still, it is 2k more gold F2P players would have to spend which does make the game a bit harder to keep up with for this expansion alone.
Just here to further stack the fact that there’s no paywall there.
Just keep on them quests. The majority of them aren’t difficult to complete, and if there are any that are giving difficulty (like a couple of weeklies), they can be rerolled into something super easy.
average player accumulates about 10k gold between expansions.
You need about get 80 packs to get decent choices on epics and legs.
+2k for mini set
That’s 10k spent right there.
Now its gonna go to 12k. You cannot squeeze another 2k gold out of normal play experience unless you start grinding wins for miniscule XP.
That’s a PAYWALL
core cards used to be available without doing anything
mhhhh or not, 80 packs get you nowhere close to having several t1 decks
You still do. Core cards are given for free. Path of Arthas is a separate thing
You probably won’t be able to ignore the DK cards. It also really does water down the card pool, going from 9 to 10 to 11 classes, well 9 was already too many. I can have 200 legendaries in my collection and only have 3 that are still wild viable, 70% of them are in classes I don’t have enough to play around with and with all the ones that have been power crept on or basically useless ones from minisets. I basically just look at the games cost in terms of dust now because the likelihood of you pulling the right card for your collection is super low.
that you now have to BUY with cash or gold in ADDITION to all the previous expenses you always had with each expansion AND mini set.
I was answering the guy who said that the core cards were not free.
Yes, and I did mention that it would create more of a strain on F2P players, but it is not called a paywall, because a paywall is something that can ONLY be accessed with cash, and Path of Arthas is available with gold
BUT this gold is unobtainable. because its ADDITIONAL 2k gold on top of previous expenses. Does reward track gets extra 2k gold added to it?
same thing with different names
The required amount of gold is subjective based on what you want, how many packs are given out, and what you get from dust refunds. There is no set number of required packs you need. If you enjoy DK maybe you will buy 20 less packs from the expansion because you didnt need as many to get all the cards you wanted
