Lost a round in Battlegrounds due to a weird interaction between Patches and Professor Putricide. I had Putricide, and I used the Hero Power to give me Rat Pack +20 Attack. Well the opponent’s Hero Power activated first killing my Rat Pack, spawning 2 1/1’s, and then giving the left rat +20 attack. Is this intentional?
Well, when both hero powers are supposed to fire at the start of combat, they can’t both be first, which in Battlegrounds means a random order. The ordering of “theirs, then process deaths, then yours” would actually be unorthodox in a traditional game of Hearthstone, since they’re reacting to the same event - the start of combat. If it were a normal game, I’d expect it to go “theirs, then yours (buffing a dying 2/-2 rat pack), then process deaths.”
Battlegrounds evidently runs death phases more often than normal games.
