Patch + Patch Notes coming tomorrow

Was hoping for the notes today, but alas we will get everything tomorrow according to Hearthpwn

I’m pretty sure I know what changes are coming:

  1. Crabrider
  2. Mankrik
  3. All Caravans
  4. Incanter’s

How do you propose buffing the caravans? Because I feel like they’d be too good with a health, attack or mana buff.

Easily. End of turn instead of start of turn. Instant fix, that’s how they SHOULD work. Although some may be a bit too powerful (Paladin- they can nerf the caravan to be a 1/1 or 1/2 to adjust) but really end of turn seems the obvious choice.

I think end of turn is also way too good; almost auto include good for each of them.

I really really hope refreshing spring water is on the nerf list too…thing breaks both standard and wild.

I think that’s the intention. It’s card type that sees zero play and they specifically talked about Forged in the Barrens card types getting a buff that never took off.

Should we except all caravans to be buffed ? His answer:

I doubt it. Incanter’s slows RSW down a bit. No need to nerf both at the same time and Incanter’s is the stronger of the 2.

Per this tweet from the latest Iksar Q&A, there are no buffs coming that will include all caravans.

So…all of them except Paladin. Hah!

It’s more likely the caravans won’t be touched.

How can you justify only buffing half of them ?

Justifying adjusting all of them except Paladin seems easy…buff the other ones wouldn’t push the power level of the class to absurd limits, whereas Paladin Caravan would be busted as it would push an already powerful class into an even more powerful position.

If incanter’s goes to 3, maybe, 4, definitely.

I’d rather just see incanter’s at 3 and spring water give back 1 mana crystals per spell.

There are 5 caravans.

You think the caravans will take 4 of the 10 buffed cards spots to ‘‘spice’’ the meta ?

Sounds very boring and unlikely.

yeah, that’s exactly what I’m thinking. I also think elemental Shaman gets a buff or 2. Arid Stormer and another elemental are most likely on the list.

Well, I hope you are very wrong because that’d be a good way to kill the hype.

People are expecting cool buffs to make multiple new archetypes viable and instead… they get caravans.

Don’t get me wrong, I hope I’m wrong too. But 4 buffs out of 10 still leaves room for 6 more buffs. And I don’t see why they wouldn’t focus specifically on Barrens cards, so what other cards could they hit that could take up a big chunk of that 10 cad buff? It’s hard to imagine buffing 10 cards and not touching caravans unless those buffs hit core cards which is doubtful.

I think at either 2 attack or 4 health, those caravans are very close to being strong cards people complain about.

I don’t think any caravans will be buffed if not all are going to see buffs. Since they are a cycle you cant buff stats or mana or the timing on the buff, and effect buffs don’t seem likely. That leaves other interesting cards to be buffed however, since we still have a fixed number.

Stealth for 1 turn, with maybe 0 attack?
