Just doing a trial of class focus discussion (like old old forum)
DO share you ideas/decks for Paladin.
Can think of at least 7 different ones.
I think I need to try and make a Paladin highlander deck that uses phaoris.
Khangores army is a pretty good way to sneak extra value out of good mechs for just one card, so I’m wondering if it could be good enough.
The “25 mana cost” cat + The Panda Cooker
Wild Pig + Dinosyze (cool combo)
Reborn Quest Paladin (no reno) put a lot of draw potential and the egg-mech, more three mechs using magnetic and legendary spell.
This is the build of Highlander Paladin I’ve been running, also based on Zalae’s video above

It is 5-2 at Rank 5, helped me finish off some quests today.
Now, yes 13k total dust is pretty expensive, so let’s break down what’s core in the deck, see if it can be more budget.
Well firstly mine’s not even an optimised build, I’m running Commander Rhyssa and secrets for the lols.
So, you want your number of 1 drops. These would include Brazen Zealot, Mecharoo, Murmy, Beaming Sidekick, Argent Squire, take your pick.
Micro Mummy is pretty good here, it’s a Mech, so, Magnetic Synergies there. Likewise Replicating Menace, SN1P-SN4P, Wargear and Zilliax become pretty key to enhance that strategy, neutrals you can use in many other decks. Annoy-o-module, staple for Paladin Mechs.
Cue in the Basic cards: Blessing of Kings, Consecration, Truesilver Champion. Definitely want those.
Sir Finley is not really required. If you have him, put him in! And Zephrys being the main reason to run a Highlander deck.
At the 3-drop slot there is Magic Carpet and History Buff.
Out of the top end legendaries, Tirion is pretty good. Octosari just sits in your hand so you don’t need to craft him. Siamat, you can put him in, but I’m not even running it here.
Leeroy, Classic staple, helps with the aggressive nature of the deck to close out games
So, idea for a “budget” version?

Yet to have time to refine and fully test this deck, but won 2 games @ casual with much surprise. (vs hunter, vs quest priest) Maybe will update in future.
Hi Reaver, nice to see your giants dragon pally deck, looks interesting.
Tbh I haven’t been playing much over xmas and new year but just getting back into it now and want to find a Pally deck using Talritha Dragonrider , looks like a fun legendary,
I’ve been trying to build a Quest/dragon deck , the quest enables me to copy Talritha , and then continue copying her to eventually end up with some monster dragons while sidestepping most forms of silence.
Never going to be top tier but I’ll post a list once I’ve done a bit more testing. Might try a highlander version but the low number of Reborn minions is a bit of an issue.
In regards to dragon pally, I find some use in running skyfin. Assuming the dragon synergy triggers, It’s a safe on curve play that puts decent total stats on the board, without jeopardizing any of your dragon synergies in case you want to hold on to them for talritha or whatever.
One variant also runs amalgams and one tastyfin to draw (by that point there’s 6 other murlocs in the deck, and dragon pallies don’t exactly have a lot of draw options). The 3/4s are both expendable in the early game or they can be buffed by talritha.
The deck overall I find is still very curve/top deck dependent.
Currently running pure paladin and loving it. It struggles against Galakrand Warrior and Shaman though.
I started the season at rank 19 after just getting back into Hearthstone right before Christmas. I’ve climbed all the way to rank 9 already with a 64% winrate with this deck. Highly recommend looking into it.
Phaoris paladin is very fun.
Not meant to be meta deck, but on a whim I made this, and somehow is able to win a few with it, probably because nobody expects it.
Overall it’s an old school “curvestone” deck - you play for tempo, thus more low drops for consistency. When most people see my early game they probably think I’m just aggro, but this is a tempo deck that curves into the late game with:
-tirion
-norzdormu is a 4 mana 8/8 (it’s not there to jank out to 10 mana early)
-DQ alex
-Nomi for one last push
The last 3 in particular allow for stronger board refill than most people expect paladins are able to do. Having such ability also means I can run equality and shrink ray and then refill the board. Having equality and shrink ray themselves mean I know I don’t have to over extend and rush to finish, but rather try to bait the enemy to over extend.
My heals also surprise them, as one way they might try to fight me is to ignore my board and go face, thinking with all my effort devoted to building board, I would be vulnerable to getting nuked, but the heals can come in clutch that even guardian of kings is being run, lol
…and yes, I should be running zeph and maybe finley (knowing I always have recruit may actually be better, as not all hero powers are good with this tempo-zoo strategy), but I don’t have them. There’s definitely room for improvement in this deck.

Resurrecting this thread for a AoO Quest Paladin idea:
1x Making Mummies
2x Hand of A’dal
2x Libram of Wisdom
2x Mana Addict
2x Micro Mummy
1x Murgur Murgurgle
2x Questing Explorer
2x Shotbot
2x Blistering Rot
2x Candletaker
2x Questing Adventurer
2x Ancestral Guardian
2x Bone Wraith
1x Violet Teacher
2x Aldor Truthseeker
2x Khartut Defender
1x Lady Liadrin
The idea is to generate many copies of 0 cost Libram of Wisdoms by duplicating them on minions and using the Quest hero power to copy the minion. With all these 0 cost Librams, the win condition involves building up huge minions like Mana Addicts, Questing Adventurers, and Blistering Rots. Liadrin is also another burst source of Librams if for some reason a minion with a stack of them gets silenced or polymorphed.
I included Violet Teacher as another means of benefiting from lots of 0 cost spells. Another option would be a Gadgetzan Auctioneer for more draw. Another idea would be Recurring Villain as a respawning target. Wild Pyromancer is another thing to consider and can aoe down a lot of stuff without needing other spells beyond the librams already being run.
A more tempo oriented version drops the Addict/Adventurer/Violet stuff and adds a bit of a mech package with Hot Air Balloon, Sky Claw and Safeguard as there’s synergy with the Micro Mummy/Shotbot package and they’re ok targets for buffs and Quest hero powers.
I think the idea may need more draw capability to sustain, what do you think?
Very possible. Some options would be Blessing of Wisdom, Flash of Light, Hammer of Wrath or Call to Adventure. Harrison Jones and Gadgetzan are also possibles and Harrison may get decent value in a meta where DHs are running around with all their weapons.
I’m playing Pure Paladin on ladder right now (down in the dumpster to be fair, R9 right now, but climbing well!) and it feels really good, the loss of Leeroy really does make a huge difference, it makes cards like Amber Watcher much better as they can’t burst you down between heals, and the value generated by Lightforged Crusader just finishes off decks like Dragon hunter while giving you enough gas to face Control Warrior.

Very excited for the new expansion, Pure Pally could be a real deck I think.
I’m around the same rank at the moment and gave it a try. Stomped on two Embiggen druids and a Quest Priest so far.
Definitely beats people up. Won against another priest, mage, galakrond warrior who had kronx on 6, mech paladin, face hunter, another dragon druid. Lost against a reno mage and shaman that had all the right aoes and Hagatha.
