Pain Lock Dominates after mini - nerf req

Hate Non interactive - no brain decks, they r playing single player game nearly all the time. Each meta shift blizz promotes one non interactive deck.

hit legend with rog recently but
At higher tiers ppl plays well with pain.
Turn 4-5 insta kill kinda annoying.

This deck supposed to be variant of zoo. But deck contains board supremacy, op sustain at very early stage.

there is small window of opportunity with direct dmg spells to win the game.

New meta decks are balanced somehow except the pain. Early removals doesnt work well.

mini set op card 6 mana 15hp
accessing giants very early and other survival kits hard to deal.

Can’t stand anything with demon seed.

Pain lock is one of the few decks in the last five years in this game where minion trading is preferable to hitting face.

Basically this property has never existed in this game since … Well I can’t remember. That’s about as close to interactive as we are going to get, and I for one enjoy it.

I don’t like pain lock but I actually hate playing against the other lock decks far more.

I am enjoying noming on the painlocks with my DK. This meta is very heavily front loaded to begin with. Any deck you are playing right now better have a good first 5 turns game or you are going to lose most likely.

I dunno, I’m pretty sure DKs don’t counter painlocks, what tools do they have to stop a turn 3 or 4 double molten giant?

They have good tools to trounce showdown pally, but from my experience not painlocks, I just crush them with ease.

I’m playing a modified control DK. I posted it in another thread talking with Scyla and Smeet. Lets be serious though. If you got a turn 3 double molten giant there are very few if any decks that can handle that high roll. They normally don’t start throwing down boards like that till turn 5. The only real answer is Zilliax for that.

I call BS. DK does not farm pain lock. You cant believe anything anyone says here. As a matter of fact DK is not very good at all right now.

Against 2 turn 3? Nothing but how common is that? One can be easily removed with Asphyxiate.

I rarely see Painlock, Insanity seems more common, but it seems like a fine matchup. About 50/50

I dunno I’ve played tens maybe over hundred games now with pain lock near top 100, often playing top 100, and I can say my average turn to get a molten out is turn 4, sometimes turn 3, the high roll is turn 2, and turn 5 or 6 is usually a loss. Though I play very judiciously maximizing my chances, I doubt the average player plays like this.

So yes it’s definitely turn 4, but can often get turn 3, that’s why this deck is as good as it is. So I wouldn’t call turn 4 a high roll, turn 3 is better than average but not a super high roll either.

pretty sure dk is a bad match up against pain lock. also for class that don’t have freeze and face damage. random ice shard/leeroy is a good tech to run against pain lock rn. you just need freeze the 8/8 at t5 thats 1 mana for 8 hp is busted! and for their deck they run the stomper to make spell cost more. so minions are only good techs cards.

Am I missing something, why doesn’t blood treant affect the cost of imprisoned horror?

There really is no bad matchup for painlock right now

If you lose, you either drew terribly or you misplayed

It’s 4 mana, not 6 btw

i’m sorry this is happening to you, OP.

showdown paladin is the worst. its probably 55-45 in favor of paladin, if you run my verison of painlock (with hellfire instead of trams) its probably 50-50.

spell mage can be bad if you consitently draw bad, you need to hit spell mage with a massive board latest turn 4, hopefully 3 to win. spell mage has annoying set of strong answers, they have early clear spells + they have the weapon into spot-the-difference to build a massive board of their own turn 3 or 4.

other than that its an insanely strong deck.

oh sorry, highlander/reno paladin is a bad MU. nohandsgamer kicks my a** repeatedly at like rank 50 with it. probably this is the worst mu to be honest. they have way too many early control tools like equality and finley.

Paladin is terrible for them. Mage is even. Rest is good.

Closer to 60-40. Might be 59-41, might not quite get to 60-40, but close enough.
