I said that as well. The meta is stabilizing and there’s quite a variety of strategies available. Druid and warriors play rate is still too high for my tastes, but people have found ways to counter them. Lamplighter is devestating to the unkilliax rezz strategy, but it in turn gets overrun by quality board based aggro because they’re forced to load the deck with elementals that have weak synergy so they don’t have spell or removal support (handbuff paladin is nearly 85%-15% win rate versus lamplighter decks, and aggro pirates also chew through em).

We have a lot of back and forth. Druid has a dragon ramp deck that plays much different from the spell damage coincierge one, mage has no spell and elemental lamplighter to choose from, shaman has aggro pirate and elemental lamplighter, warrior has control fatigue and reno, Zarimi priest is the strongest priest deck by far, but reno priest also exists. Rogue has both lamplighter and excavate. Warlock has both pain lock and sludge lock. Paladin has handbuff and aggro token (same decks from last expac but still just as powerful). IMO It’s only hunter and death knight that feel really left out. I’m not impressed by rainbow DK’s token build, but that’s a deck that has a lot of room for refinement, but good ol aggro hunter and secret hunter are still viable too. Oh yeah…handbuff death knight still exists btw. And yes, it’s also still good.

Let’s not go crazy asking for nerfs here. It’s day 4 of the expansion. It’s actually starting to shape up into one of the best launches in recent times.

This point is important enough to warrant its own post. Lamplighter is NOT shockspitter. The difference is in the kill clock. Shockspitter would consistently OTK as early as turn 5 or 6. Lamplighter doesn’t kill until turns 7 through 9. Those extra 2 or 3 turns make all the world of difference. You can get under lamplighter and kill it with strong aggro. You couldn’t so that with shockspitter.

Yup good point on lamplighter, only times i have ever managed to kill with it before seven was when i got double shadowstep and even then its isnt a full 30 dmg

I can’t speak on behalf of Hunters as I haven’t played the class since the launch of the expansion, but let me tell you the Tourist package for Death Knights is yummy.

I’ve had give or take 2 insta-concedes and maybe 4 wins the turn just after playing Razzle-Dazzler. Oh and 1 friend request that yielded verbal abuse…

So, yeah. Having the equivalent of two copies of Climatic Necrotic Explosion for 7 mana, minus the instant face damage, really adds some Oomph to Rainbow decks that we didn’t have before.

On a final note, that dinky 2 mana rush undead pirate is really putting in the work too to stop aggro decks. 2 copies of him plus 2 copies of Mining Casualties and the Shaman 2 mana Drink spell and you’ve got aggro decks under control.

I think I calmed down some after getting to legend with Reno Rainbow DK today. There are definitely problems (mainly OTK decks need to get slowed down and Doomkin is still a problem, also obviously Unkilliax), but they are fixable issues.
