This song reminds us that while the Cardinal has more vibrant plumage, the Nightingale possesses far greater powers of seduction. Godspeed, Mama Cass…
I keep finding myself here. I tried hard to be positive today. Here I am tonight, alone and down. Forgive me for saying this (and publicly on a CCG forum I probably shouldn’t (but I feel connected to you guys)), but this is how I am feeling.
That’s beautiful. New to me, but that’s the kind of girl I develop a fascination with. Simple and yet powerful lyrics, accompanied by a soft melody and then we’re hit with electronic and pop kind of sound – and back again. I like it.
Maybe a little too dark and crude for my tastes, but I can relate somewhat. I keep a playlist that I call “Alienated,” which I keep songs on that have anti-social vibe to them. I’ll start linking some of my favorites.
You’ve unleashed it! The Sopranos is what introduced me to this absolute gem, of which I have never heard a song anything actually like it!
@Selwynn, if you’re out there, somewhere, please lemme know. I worry a lot about you. I understand people lose interest. However, for me, you were one of the defining characters in my deciding to play this game and especially learning, basically how to play.
Please, contact me, and I would immensely and sincerely appreciate it. I’d just like to know that you’re okay.
And if anybody needs to talk, I am always here. Let’s talk. We can figure this mess of a life together. Let us not drop off of the radar, and not endorse upcoming, aspiring comedians, and people that are simply naturally funny. Whether, or not, we are dealing with an actor that’s been in a thousand films, or one that has raised the money to develop an independent comedy-dama: we deserve them the same respect. Their humor may not be that of the humor shared by the majority. The majority needs to learn about the rest so that, at the very least, they can understand comedy related to their views without being overly offensive – but rather, in humor. Grow. The. $%T@. Up.
Knowing how much you like Tori, I thought I would share her cover of this piece.
I used to listen to this pretty often.
Most of my friends from the era that Neil wrote this in are gone.
Tori does a fantastic job on the song, I think.
He is. I am 99% certain of it. You just need to look for the citric animal.
