I don’t play Arena but I have 9+ Arena tickets. I personally don’t enjoy the mode at all and prefer to play with the full collection of cards I’ve gotten over the years so it’s never really been something I’ve been totally interested in, so they’ve just been piling up over the years.
It’s incredibly droll to create a deck, then click retire - it takes like 4 minutes just to go through the motions of pressing each card, retiring, watching that key turn, then getting a single card pack and 50 gold or something. It would be amazing if you could just immediately exchange your arena tickets for some gold in bulk or something, it’d be a huge time saver.
I don’t think this is a bad idea. I’ve run into this problem before. What I did was ran Arena until my tickets exhausted. I had fun, though, so it was worth my time. However, as you say, not everyone is into Arena, and so allowing for these tickets to be exchanged is a fantastic idea. Even if the exchange rate is low, this would benefit many players entirely uninterested in Arena.
Blizzard doesn’t spend development time and money for QoL features. They are a small indie company I hear. They already have a way to cash in your tickets.
I was just going through this over the weekend. Trying to use up my 9+ Arena tickets. I got to where it only said 9 and had to stop. Now to be fair, it had been a few years since I tried Arena, so I really did try to play the first few runs to see if it appealed to me now. Nope. Awful mode. Did not like it at all. I’d even accept just 100 gold or even 1 card pack per ticket to avoid the whole silly draft/concede process.
arena and heroic duels both use tavern passes and have the same rewards. At the very least, it’s faster to just cobble a deck together and concede in the latter. Do that instead
